Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2014
The recipe, excluding all the salt, is really delicious. I plan to add it to my meal rotation.

Cheddar Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2012
I did a bit of modifying to work with the ingredients I had at home. Instead of 1 egg, I mixed milk with some sour cream Instead of bread crumbs & rice crispies, I used corn flakes Instead of butter, I used olive oil I baked at 350 for 45 minutes and these came out just great! Will definitely make again now that I know the ingredients are so flexible!

Pesto Quinoa

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
Giving it 4 stars for the idea but I modified it like so: 1C white rice + 2C chicken broth + chopped tomatoes + frozen spinach + lots of pesto + rice cooker = easiest meal ever.

Red Velvet Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2010
Exceptional cake! This was my first attempt at Red Velvet Cake and it turned out amazing. I used 4T cocoa, 1oz red food coloring, 1C veg oil, 2C sugar, and no vinegar. I left the frosting recipe as it is and the frosting is amazing! I am going to use it for all of my other cakes! This recipe makes exactly 2 dozen cupcakes with lots of extra frosting, next time i will cut it in half.

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2010
This is some good tuna salad! I did not have any relish so I chopped up some pickles and added a little dijon mustard. I did not have any onion either. Everything else I kept the same measurements and diced up 1 small stalk of celery because I like the texture. This was amazing!!

Jalapeno Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
I have been trying very hard to like this chicken! I l-o-v-e the seasoning just how it is. It is very spicy but the cinnamon cuts it just enough. Delicious. And that is where the recipe stops being amazing. My marinade never thickened at all. I poured it on the chicken anyway and it did not coat the chicken at all. Instead it just did not add any flavor. - So after that fail, I tried the recipe again this time as a fajita. Again, the chicken was great, but it tasted very weird with cheese. - I even tried dipping it in dressing but it just does not taste right. - I like the cinnamon but cannot find anything that fits it!

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2010
THIS. I swear by this recipe for the honey mustard alone! I make a batch once a week and it's awesome for dipping, serving on a baked potato, anything! And using it on chicken is pretty darn tasty as well!

Grandma's Corn Bread Dressing

This was phenomenal! I made it for Thanksgiving dinner and everyone loved it. I made my own corn bread to use with it.

Kielbasa with Honey Mustard

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2010
This was okay. I liked the ginger ale flavor and dipping it into honey mustard. I happily ate it for dinner but I'm not sure I'd serve it to a group.

Buffalo Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2010
This was just okay. It didn't have enough flavor for me and the coating was soggy.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2010
It took a couple tries (user error) but these pretzels are absolutely amazing and identical to mall pretzels. Well worth all the effort! FLOUR: I put in 2 1/2C of flour to start, then gradually put in another cup or so while kneading. I used a total of 3 3/4C flour. KNEADING: I kneaded this for about 8 minutes in my KitchenAid Artisan mixer. WATER: My water was 110F degrees when proofing the yeast. BAKING: The pretzels were perfect at 9 minutes on a baking stone.

Deb's Cranchick Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
This is exactly the chicken salad recipe I was looking for! I cut the balsamic vinegar in half and it still gave a great taste without such a drab appearance (as was others' concern). I also cut the mayo a little bit because I thought it was too moist. But that is just my preference. The taste is still perfect. Definitely five star recipe!

Chocolate Cake Shot

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
I recommend taking the shot this way: 1. Coat the lemon wedge with white sugar, hold in hand 2. Drink the shot then immediately bite into the lemon -- the lemon will taste like a piece of chocolate cake!

Beer Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
I L-O-V-E the idea of using beer in pancakes instead of milk!!! I use my own from-scratch pancake recipe that comes out fluffy and richer but still directly substitute beer for the milk. Light beer works better, I would not go any darker than yeungling. It's amazing how well real maple syrup goes with the complex beer flavor. Sooooooo goooood!
