Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2012
This is the best easy buttercream frosting recipe I've made. Love it! I did use only 5 cups of confectioner's sugar, however, and found it to be more than sweet enough. Also, don't forget to sift your sugar before using... I didn't and ended up with lumps.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2011
I subtract a 1/2 cup of sugar, sometimes sub out 1/2 the oil for applesauce, and always add a handful of chocolate chips. I LOVE this recipe, so delicious no matter how I tamper with it. :)

French Crepes

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
This is one of the easiest recipes for crepes that I have tried and it is just as delicious as the others. The key, truly, is in the pan and being able to spread the batter evenly so the crepe is all ready to be flipped at the same time. I use a flat frosting blade to turn crepes, if you are looking around your kitchen for the right kind of tool to turn them over. A spatula never works when I try.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
My kids went nuts for this pizza crust. As did I. :) It was a still a bit sticky when I tried to roll it out, so I ripped a few holes in it, but overall it was just delicious.

Pizza Sauce I

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
I loved this sauce and so did my kids, who are tough to please. I added a tablespoon of tomato paste and started off by sauteing the paste, olive oil, and all the spices (minus the fresh parsley) for just a minute and then added the tomatoes. I then let it simmer together for a few minutes and added the chopped parsley last. I used what I had in the pantry: canned tomatoes (1 can), dried basil (about a tsp.), and added a little extra sugar (about 1 tsp. total) and used an immersion blender to mix it all up.

Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2007
Made this roast for Christmas and it turned out perfectly medium-rare and delicious. I did stud mine with garlic, which added something nice, I think.
