About this Cook
I'm 26, married with two beautiful girls and I live in Florida. My father was a chef so I've been cooking most of my life. However it wasn't until recently that I really started experimenting with food. My husband is a great cook and has probabley taught me as much as my father has. I love cooking for my family.
My favorite things to cook
I like to bake cookies. I recently made Italian wedding cookies. They were so easy and tasted so good. I think thats my favorite thing that I've made so far..
My favorite family cooking traditions
My dad is Italian so of course there was lots of pasta and bread growing up. You can't go wrong with that!
My cooking triumphs
I've finally memorized a recipe that I have been using for a few years. I don't even have to use measuring cups or spoons anymore and It comes out a little different everytime, but thats okay.
My cooking tragedies
Hmm...I can't recall a tragedy but maybe thats because I blocked it'll have to get back to you on this one...

Jalapeno Popper Spread
I made this for a surprise birthday party and it was a huge hit. I used fresh Parmesan and the panko breadcrumbs on top like other users suggested but otherwise didn't change anything. I've made this a few more times without the chilies or without the breadcrumbs and it was still delicious.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff
This dish was delicious. I made a few changes. I added a can of mushroom soup and onion. I browned my chicken first then the onions and deglazed the pan with broth. I mixed everything together, added the chicken and cooked it all for about 4 hours on high. I also added a little water because it was very thick. My husband absolutely loved it. I will defintly be making this again.

Spanish Rice Bake
I thought this recipe sounded really good but I wanted to try it with chicken instead so I used cubed chicken breast instead of ground beef. After I browned the chicken I added the onions and bell peppers and cooked until they were tender. Meanwhile I mixed the tomatoes, spices(i used extra cumin and added chilli powder), chipotle salsa(instead of chilli sauce), worcestershire and uncooked rice in a 2 qt baking dish then I added the chicken and peppers and onions and cooked for about 45 minutes in the oven with the lid on. Took the lid off added cheese and cooked it for another 10 minutes. It was delicious. I left out the brown sugar and cilantro because neither sounded appealing to me...
