Wings In Cola

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2013
These wings were DELICIOUS! Everyone LOVED these. I prepared this a bit differently than the recipe. I doubled the recipe and mixed everything together in large plastic bags and let this marinate for several hours. I used garlic powder instead of garlic salt. Next time I will add a little salt to compensate for this. DO USE A DISPOSABLE ALUMINUM PAN!!! Even though I lined my pans with foil, some of the liquid leaked through and my pans took forever to clean. The long cooking time combined with all that sugar makes a real mess! Thanks for posting such a great recipe!

Mom's Country Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
This is a good recipe. Personally, I use bacon or sausage grease if possible. If you do use oil, go ahead and add a bit of butter to enhance the taste. I am passing on something I discovered quite by accident. One hectic morning while making gravy for biscuits, I grabbed what I thought was black pepper - wrong! It was Montreal Steak Seasoning. I had already mixed it before I realized my mistake. I kept mum about it and served up the gravy anyway, expecting to hear complaints. Guess what? Everyone said it was the best gravy I'd ever made! To this day I add a little Montreal Steak Seasoning to my gravy. Be brave and try it. You will be pleasantly surprised!

Grill Master Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
Delicious! I did change the cooking method. We were not able to griil so, I popped these into a hot 400 degree oven for about 30 minutes and then broiled them for a few minutes. Great flavor and the sauce was perfect! We are going to use this recipe on chicken tenders next time - and there will be a next time. Thanks for posting PartyFil!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2010
This is great! The first time I made this, I followed the recipe exactly as written and the chicken was delicious. We don't care for dark meat so I use bone-in chicken breasts with skin. I make up 10 or so pieces at a time, wrap two pieces together, leave them in the fridge overnight and then freeze. I also use smoked paprika for even more flavor. Thanks Sue!

Squash Casserole I

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
This squash casserole was great! The only ingredient I altered was the sugar - substituted Splenda and only used a teaspoon or so. Oh, I did use butter instead of margarine (hate the stuff). I guess that's two ingredients then! The squash's taste really shines through! Thanks Gaye!

Greek Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
Great recipe base.I did double all ingredients except the pasta. I used olive oil and kalamata olives in place of vegetable oil and black olives - if using kalamata olives be careful about adding more salt. Kalamat olive are much more salty than black olives. I also added some Greek oregano, red wine vinegar and halved cherry tomatoes.I broiled chicken breasts that had marinated in Greek dressing and sliced them to add to this salad. This salad was great and of course, even better the next day. Thanks Sara!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
This was a great recipe! The only changes I made were seasoning the fish with Old Bay and not using the lemon juice - none on hand. This went well with rice and green beans. We will be making this again. Thanks Phoebe.

Sock it to Me Cake V

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
Great recipe! My cake turned out beautifully. The 90 minute baking time is WAY too long for this cake. Mine was completely baked in 45 minutes. I used cake flour instead of all purpose flour and I used 12 ounces of sour cream. I also drizzled a glaze of milk and confectioner's sugar on the slightly warm cake. Everyone loved it. Thanks for the recipe!

Jim's Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2003
Fantastic!!! This salad received rave reviews at our church potluck so I made it again for a cookout. Even my two guests that didn't care for macaroni salad (just ate it to be polite)had seconds! I omitted the cheese because I don't care for American cheese. I did add halved cherry tomatoes and seasoned with celery salt. This is definetly a keeper. Thanks Jim!

My Little Secret

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2003
This is a great recipe! I added some chopped onion and chopped pimientos, and seasoned with a little celery salt. The sour cream adds a unique taste. Not a bite left over! This recipe would get a lot more exposure if it were listed under Potato Salads or Potato Dishes. Thanks Lisa!

Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: May 8, 2002
What a great recipe! The chicken was flavorful and moist and the sauce was delicious.I did add onions and mushrooms to the sauce, omitted the water and cut the sugar in half. I served this with rice and green beans and there were no leftovers! Next time I need a barbecue/tomato sauce, I will use this recipe and let it simmer for an hour or two. Thanks Nancy!
