About this Cook
Retired now, but love to cook.
My favorite things to cook
Most anything except desserts. Can't stand anything that is sweet, and I have never found a dessert I like. Except butter tarts and chocolate. Ooh they're good. I also like to try different things, different recipes. Don't like boring same old stuff. That's where this website is a wonderful tool.
My cooking triumphs
Steak and Kidney puddings. My family think they are good. Bad for you, but so good. Originally from England, we really love these. It's a taste of back home.
My cooking tragedies
Just asked my husband this and he says nothing comes to mind so either he's kind or absent minded :0)

Amazing Southwest Cilantro Lime Mango Grilled Chicken Sandwiches
Tried this last night. Don't be intimidated by the list of ingredients. It is so worth the time and effort. I did change just one thing and that was to add the mango to the salsa, thus making a mango salsa and eliminating the tomato. Except for that small change, I did the recipe as written and it turned out fantastic. Hubby was still raving about it the day after. This will be a definite keeper in my kitchen. Thank you Patricia for the amazing recipe.

Quiche Lorraine II
Made this as a light meal to serve 4. I figured we would have lots left but unfortunately everyone wanted large portions for seconds. Must make two next time around. Never seen a quiche disappear as quickly before. Lovely flavour, and a light texture. This is the best quiche I have ever made. Thank you for sharing this.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings
Best wings I ever made and I have tried lots of recipes. I actually baked them as amydoll suggested and brushed on the sauce at the end, turning off the oven and leaving them for 5 minutes per side before turning and brushing once again. Very yummy. Thank you for sharing this lovely recipe.
