I never cook until I move in with my boyfriend. I was born in a family of cooks and until now, my mom still runs the family's catering business and my sister has her little cake shop. I've always been the disgrace of the family when it comes to cooking until last Christmas (2010) when I managed to bake apple pies.

Cakes. I love cakes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sambal tumpang. A Javanese (i'm Indonesian) traditional salad dressing made of fermented soybeans and tahu tempe bacem also made of fermented soybeans.
My cooking triumphs
Dutch steak, apple pie, ontbijtkoek. Banana loaf (with no baking experience) NYAM!
My cooking tragedies
AAAAaarrggghhh!!!!! my first lasagna. Tried to bake two pans for Christmas and ended up throwing away one full pan of it. :(
