Grandma's Egg Custard Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2013
This was a hit in my family. 5 out of 6 asked for a second serving. The crust edge was browner than I wanted it to be-- almost burnt, and the top of the pie got burned on some spots, I had to peel them off. I covered the pie with whipped topping and nobody noticed the "repair." Still good. Next time, I will bake it for 375 instead of 400 for around 50 minutes.

Double Quick Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2012
Moist, light tasting rolls. I subbed half of flour with white whole wheat, half the sugar with stevia, proofed the yeast as others suggested. Will make this again. Easy.

Cassava Cake

Reviewed: May 13, 2012
I followed all measurements plus I added 3T of agave nectar for my sweet tooth. Delicious soft cassava cake--the way I like it. Simple to make the very first time I tried.

My family of four likes this with breakfast burrito. Later this afternoon, we will have this for snack with tortilla chips. Fresh, resfreshing, sweet taste salsa. YUM. I don't have oregano so I substitututed with a little basil.

Banana Smoothie

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
Mine came up with a consistency of soft-served ice cream. Reading previous reviews, I halfed the honey and used frozen bananas. I added 2/3 cup powdered nonfat milk, and substituted liquid milk with 2 cups full of crushed ice and vanilla almond milk. Tastes great. My sweet toothed son won't mind the extra honey called for in the original recipe though. Hmm...so nutritious!
