About this Cook
I was lucky to have the luxury of a loving mother who cooked for us every night. I learned from her and now love to cook. I like to dine out. I also make sure I cook the things I really love to eat so I enjoy my every meal. I love everything that is bad for you and I don't like diet anything. More butter, more fat, more of everything in respect for the dish.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Italian Christmas eve dinner of the 7 fishes.
My cooking tragedies
A grease fire I caused when I was about 10. No one was hurt but it was scary. I left the grease alone on high for a very short time and it exploded. Another "tragedy". .. Paid $65.00 for raw foie gras to sear at home. Tried to sear it myself and ended up with a pan of $65.00 FRIED liver. It was good but I missed the entire mark.

Honey Baked Chicken II
I was almost ready to throw away the entire marinade after tasting it. Thank God I didn't. The taste took a turn for the BEST when this was cooked. I was so surprised and have made it AGAIN within the week. This is a great recipe to use for company if you want something different. I served ours with rice and vegetables.

Peach Cobbler IV
This is a simple recipe that produces outstanding results. I left out the syrup in the peaches and used double the portion of peaches and it was wonderful. I'm not a big fan of canned peaches but they taste good in this recipe. In the summer I'll try it with fresh peaches for sure.

Strawberry Shortcake
We didn't like this at all. Way to dry and taste like a cross between cardboard, nothing and baking powder. Turned out like shortbread, nothing "cake" about it.
