I was given my first cookbook on my 9th birthday, from my Aunt. It was called Betty Crocker's Cook Book for Boys and Girls.I made every recipe in it, mostly with ingredients that I purchased with babysitting money.
My favorite things to cook
I love ethnic. Growing up in a family without any desire to try new recipes, encouraged me to experiment.
My favorite family cooking traditions
One of the traditions in my family, since growing up, we didn't have any, is a chocolate zucchini cake. My grown-up kids still request it.
My cooking triumphs
curry, italian and persian
My cooking tragedies
Don't be afraid to use the recipe as a guide
