Snow Flakes
These definitely had a great flavor, but I would add more orange zest and more cinnamon next time. At about 2 and 1/4 cups of flour, the dough seemed perfect, so I didn't add the other 1/4 suggested. That would have made it too dry, in my humble opinion. They came out beautifully from the cookie press- very easily and not messy. Also, just a note, I didn't have anything but margarine, so I figured I would use that (not the shortening). Dough and flavor did not suffer with that substitution. All butter and/or margarine can be used in this recipe. 11 minutes was perfect in my oven, but check them after 10. I like my cookies a little under-done.

Quick and Almost-Professional Buttercream Icing
This is a GREAT buttercream frosting recipe(even using margarine since that is all I had). Just be sure to let the butter soften before you mix it up and it will be a perfect consistency. This uses less confectioner's sugar than others, so I think it tastes just right (not too sugary). The next time I made this recipe, I mixed in a cup of marshmallow creme (fluff) for chocolate cupcakes, and it was amazing. This does make the frosting a little more runny, but tastes great.

Easy Sugar Cookies
I am already known as a good baker....but these cookies got RAVE reviews all around. So easy. I guess I didn't soften the butter enough, because my dough did come out a little crumbly as other reviews have stated. I just added a little milk (as in just a splash) and the dough turned out perfectly. No refrigeration needed. I rolled mine in granulated sugar before baking and that was just the little bonus that put these over the top. I took them out when they still looked a little under-baked, at exactly 8 minutes, and they turned out nice and soft.
