Chicago Style Stuffed Pizza
I am a big Chicago deep dish lover, even to the point of having it shipped to my home overnight, so I was delighted to find this recipe! I made some of the changes suggested in other reviews, such as adding diced tomatoes to the sausage mix and using a springform pan. I didn't top the dough with the sauce until it ad baked 15 minutes. You need to put it on before the "5-10 time left" suggested by some reviewers because you'll burn the crust. Right before I took it out of the oven I put grated parm on top. As for omitting the cornmeal, I would not suggest it, because it is a staple ingredient in traditional Chicago deep dish! Chicago greats and originals use it in their dough!

Hot Italian Giardiniera
Wow! Wow! Wow! This is a must try recipe! My husband and I are big on the city of Chicago and he says this is it! I have steered clear of the giardiniera when we visit because I hate anything that touches vinegar! I saw this recipe and decided to make it for my husband. Like any cook I tasted my food before I served it...it was delicious! I am sold! I think the longer it marinates in the frig the better the results. I soaked the veg on a Monday, performed the second step on Tuesday and I served it on Saturday! I served it hot and cold!

Sweet and Savory Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
Very good recipe! I marinaded the pork overnight, rubbed the spices on the meat in the morning and then added all ingredients in the slow cooker. I cooked the meat on low for 7 hours and it fell off the bone! I also added a touch of liquid smoke to the ingredients! It gives it more of a smoky flavor. I added sweet mild pepper rings to my sandwich bun and stacked the pork on top This recipe would be good with beef if you followed all directions but layered the slow cooker with sweet onions first!
