Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
i have never made an apple pie as easy as this one! the ingredients were simple (i already had them in my pantry), the steps were quick. it came out smelling so good with glaze oozing out of the top crust. used ready made crust -- one for the bottom, one for the top. didn't bother with the lattice crust. i just put one whole crust over the top of the pie and cut a few slits around. i had a bag of fuji apples that nobody liked to eat, so i used those for this pie. they turned out excellent! thank you for sharing this recipe. i will definitely make some more!!!

Oven Baked Jambalaya
i only made half the recipe since there were only 6 of us for dinner. used diced tomatoes instead of whole ones, skipped the ham, didn't pre-cook chicken and it turned out great! it came out juicy. a few suggestions though: 1. make sure you use a BIG pan. i used a large roasting pan, instead of my usual 9x13 pyrex dish. 2. like other reviews, add shrimp during the last 15 mins. 3. do not substitute short grain rice, it will get mushy! i used basmati rice to get fluffy results. thanks for this recipe!

Strawberries with Balsamic Vinegar
every summer, i mix up strawberries with balsamic vinegar and white sugar for a snack but i didn't realize letting it sit for an hour makes a BIG difference! and i never ate it with ice cream before too, so it was quite ecstatic when i first tried this recipe. the best part is, i had leftovers so i poured them over waffles for breakfast the next day! best waffles ever.
