Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2008
I have people fighting over eating the skin every time I fry one.

Taco Soup II

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
I made this last night with lb of ground turkey, black beans instead of lima, and mexicorn instead of hominy. My 3 year old gobbled it down. It was so good! I put in the crockpot all day and it worked perfectly! I bet it would be really good with some cornbread on top of it!

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2004
I enjoy making this regularly for all of my single buddies. I like to make it with half beef and half pork sausage, but my wife just likes it with beef. Either way, the recipe is pretty straight-forward, and my buddies think I'm one of the best cooks around.

Florentine Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2003
This recipe never fails me. I have made it for numerous functions and it always is the first thing to go. I only put in 5 oz. of spinach and one tbsp of lemon juice. I also add a little garlic and onion powder and some seasoning salt. Great recipe!!!

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2003
I wasn't too impressed with this. The pretzels got really soggy really fast. I probably won't make it again.

Slow Cooker Green Beans, Ham and Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2003
I liked this, but my wife wasn't too crazy about the crispy beans. I think next time I'll cook it longer in the cooker.

Sausage Gravy I

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2003
This is very good, but I like to use less bacon grease than is called for. I also like to add some ground red pepper to give it a nice kick.

Peach Ice Cream

Reviewed: May 26, 2003
This recipe is wonderful! We halved it and used egg beaters instead of real eggs and it turned out great! I won't be buying peach ice cream from the grocery store anymore!

Italian Bread Bowls

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2002
These were really good, but they were really flat when they came out of the oven. I may play around with some other recipes, but this will be kept in the file.

Yummy Cheese Ball

I took this to my husbands house for Christmas and it was gone before I got to have hardly any of it! Everyone raved about the taste and wants me to bring it again!

Best Ever Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2002
These were really good, but the jalapenos were really crunchy after frying. I guess we should have fried, frozen, and then baked them. The only problem with making them was that we have never made anything with jalapeno's before and had no idea that you need a face mask when you are seeding them! The smell was so strong that my husband was coughing and had tears running down his face! We will be making them again though!

Carla's Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2002
This was very yummy and very refreshing. We really enjoyed it. I took the advice of some of the previous reviews and added milk, vanilla, and used 8 ozs of cream cheese. It was so good with apples and oranges!

Beer Battered Onion Rings

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2002
We found these to be extremely bland. We ended up rolling the finished product in cajun seasoning just to get some flavor on them. We probably will give it one more try though, but we will be adding a bunch of our own spices to it.

This was very quick and easy. We really enjoyed it. We just used enough dressing to cover the crust and it was just fine that way. This is one we will make again!
