Deep Fried Oysters

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2014
The rating directed me to this recipe. I fixed exactly as stated. But, I got to say the batter was too thick for our liking. Also, the first batch I did as stated (lightly beaten egg). This was not good. The egg should be beaten very well, in my opinion. Thank you for sharing.

Garlic Butter Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2013
Rating this recipe with 5 stars. Cooking time was appropriate. Using common sense ~ you will need to cook longer for a larger squash. If unsure, poke with a fork to test the softness. The only thing I did different was add a little extra butter. Will say that "all" was eaten and positive comments given from my husband and sons. Thank you dearly for sharing this recipe.

Spiced Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2013
Followed this recipe as directed. Actually made a triple batch. Cooking for an hour at a lower temperature is the ticket. Honestly, I like them a little spicer but all in all these are very tasty! Six cups of roasted pumpkin seeds only lasted three days in our house. Yummy! Thank you bunches for sharing.

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2013
Tried this recipe as directed, but broiled instead of grilled. I liked it but my husband and boys did not (said too sweet). So, I tweaked it a bit and left out the brown sugar and water. Instead of marinating, I basted with the soy and olive oil (not vegetable) then sprinkled the seasonings on. Broiled for 8 minutes or until done. Tasty ~ very tasty!

Linda's Fake and Bake Chicken

Think this would be much better omitting the salt. My family did not like this at all. Just too salty. Might try again without the salt. Thank you for sharing.

Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms II

Very good. Simple and quick. Like some of the other comments, I, too, broiled for 10 minutes instead of the recommended 2-3. Thank you for sharing.

Divine Hard-Boiled Eggs

Thank you so much for sharing this. My mother taught me differently and I got to say this is the new WAY! Boiled 2 dozen eggs and not one cracked. They were easy to peel. Made beautiful deviled eggs. Also, used some for potato salad. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
