Homemade Sweet Italian Sausage (Mild or Hot)

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2014
This is great! I used ground turkey to make it a bit more healthy and it was delicious. I didn't have time to let the seasonings sit for 12 hours before cooking, so I cooked it right away and it was still really yummy. I think I'll use a little less salt next time, and a little less crushed red pepper. I love it spicy, but it was too hot for my son. I'll definitely make this again.

Quick Chili I

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2012
Love this recipe! I use ground turkey instead of beef, and I also omit the sugar and use Italian stewed tomatoes, instead of Italian diced tomatoes. This is my favorite chili recipe :)

Pumpkin Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2012
These were delicious! I used 3 full cups of quick oats, instead of only 1, and I'm glad I did. Mmmm!

Rhubarb Crunch

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
Super delicious! I had to give some away because I kept eating it! I made it exactly as written, but I added 1/2 tsp of salt to the crust mixture.

This was good, but not as amazing as everyone made it sound.

Cookie Pizza

This was WAY too sweet. This definitely needs about 1/2 tsp of salt added to the dough.

Soft Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
These would be much better with chocolate chips in them. I didn't find them extra special in any way. Plain old chocolate cookie.

Curry Salmon with Broccoli

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2011
My daughter just became vegetarian, and I've been looking for new dishes to prepare for our family. We didn't have any salmon, but we had everything else to make this dish. I wasn't sure about how it would taste, because a whole cup of white wine sounded intense, but the sauce was divine! We served this over jasmine rice with soy sauce. Mmmm!

Pumpkin Bean Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2011
This was okay, I felt like it was missing something. I think I would like it better with a bit of coconut milk and a tablespoon of sugar added. I like pumpkin soup when it's sweet and savory.

The Ultimate Cosmopolitan

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2011
This was way better with citron vodka, instead of just plain vodka. Also, with Cointreau instead of triple sec.

Croque Madame

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2011
I wasn't sure how this was going to turn out, since the cheese melted into a ball that was almost impossible to dip bread into. I pretty much had to spread the melted cheese on the bread. It was also hard to brown it, because the cheese stuck to the pan. But when it was all done, it was delicious!

No Bake Camping Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2011
These are delicious, but they do not make anywhere close to 36 cookies. They made about 13 very small teaspoon cookies. I also had to refrigerate them because they are too gooey when room temperature to eat.

Savannah's Perfectly Ravishing Red Velvet Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2011
This was a great recipe! Super easy and yummy :) I followed the directions exactly except for one thing. We didn't have the regular food coloring drops, I use the thick super concentrated paste. So I mixed the paste, cocoa, and vinegar together to make the colored cocoa paste. Then added it to the cake. Turned out great!

White Sangria

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
I make a similar sangria but use a full bottle of white wine, 1 cup rum, 1 cup mango vodka, and 1 cup brandy. Add your favorite fruit, and dilute to taste with ginger ale or lemon lime soda. It's delish!

Diane's German Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2011
I hate box cake, but I LOVED this recipe, as did all of my guests. I went to the store and couldn't find any butter cake, but there was butter pecan cake, so I bought that. I used Chocolate fudge pudding instead of vanilla. The frosting was amazing, and I followed others reviews and used less evaporated milk, but it was still super runny. I also used brown sugar instead of white. It was delicious, gooey, and I couldn't stop eating it so I had to throw it away.

Easy Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2011
My family really liked this. I followed other reviewers and added more Worcestershire sauce and salt to the meat. I added it, and then tasted it, until the flavor was nice and strong. I only used a splash of milk, but probably didn't need it. My husband hates cream of mushroom, and he ate two bowls. I also used fresh mushrooms and added some dehydrated onions, and extra garlic.

Delicious! I got rave reviews for this. I followed some of the other reviewers and used sour cream instead of milk, and also tripled the lime zest. It was great!
