i gave this recipe 5 stars based on little modifications that i made. first, i listened to other reviewers and cooked the rice with the meat in chicken broth. instead of hamburger i used 97 lean turkey and it was very good. way healthier. my family likes spicy food, so i added some canned jalapenos and jalapeno juice to the mixture, simmered it all for 25 minutes and it came out perfect. used red peppers and since i like them crunchy, didnt do anything to them except clean and cut lengthwise. very easy to make and makes a lot of leftovers,which i am gonna have tomorrow with sour cream tomatoes and soft tortillas.
