About this Cook
Have an amazing family!!! They love trying out new recipes that I make up or find online. Heck, they just love to eat!!! :)
My favorite things to cook
I love baking for the holidays more than anything. I cook year round, but baking goodies for the holidays and planning extravagant holiday dinners is what I am about!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking traditions include, sausage balls for appetizers at Thanksgiving and Christmas, and home made cookies. Lots of soups and casseroles for the winter months. Yummy and warm~
My cooking triumphs
I have finally perfected the no bake cookie!!! It is awesome to make them and they turn out perfect every single time~ :D
My cooking tragedies
LOL Well I would have to say my biggest cooking tragedy was cooking an amazing roast in the oven as I always do. Well I was chopping up some red, green, orange and yellow sweet peppers to put in the roast. Within 10 minutes I realized I was cutting up habanero peppers. 3 days later, I finally got my fingers to stop burning... NEVER AGAIN!!! lol OUCH!

Simple Garlic and Basil Pesto
I didn't use chili powder or the brazil/pine nuts or parmesan cheese in my version. I did use everything else, PLUS I added sun-dried tomatoes and ground black pepper and simple ground peanuts surprisingly enough, because I had no other nuts available. Oh it was so tasty... I put it over Penne pasta and the family ate it up! :)

Marshmallow Treats
I let my children decorate these so this time they sprinkled chocolate chips and colorful sprinkles all over the top. Too much fun, and very yummy!!! :)

Banana Banana Bread
I used 1 1/2 c banana and 1 cup of applesauce. Then I added a half a cup of chopped walnuts and a tsp of vanilla extract. Everything else was the same. Very dense but right out of the oven with melted butter.. YUMMY!!! Then again I enjoy bread, not fluffy pastries when it comes to this type of bread. :)
