Orange Snowman

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2007
Wow! This reminds me of the Orange Julius' we used to get at the mall. I really enjoyed the smooth texture and 'pop' of orange juice. Is it mean to pour mine in a much bigger glass than my boys'? Oh, well, I guess they'll pay me back with all of their sugar intake. Heh. Thank you for the recipe, Judy! We loved it!

Glazed Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2006
This recipe received great reviews all around the dinner table! I love mixing sweet flavors to meats, therefore, I didn't need much convincing to give this recipe a go. Definitely lived up to my expectations. Thank you, Delia, for a great recipe!

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2006
This was a very simple, yet delicious meal. Being Filipina, I usually prepare white rice instead of potatoes with my meats. Therefore, the sauce being too thin, which some reviewers have mentioned, was perfect for me as I used it to drizzle over the rice. Thank you, Kim, for a great recipe! Next time, I'll try this with chicken!

Bailey's Sundae Coffee Drink

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2005
Well, I think if there is a 'next time', I will do what another reviewer had suggested by adding whipped cream instead of ice cream. The mixture of hot coffee and ice cream made the drink lukewarm. I believe my own saliva was a bit cooler than the drink itself. Other than that, it did have a nice flavor, although I was quite disappointed in wasting a good bottle of Bailey's the first time around.

Sweet Potato Pie I

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2004
This pie is so good, it will hurt your feelings! I've never made pumpkin pie, much less a sweet potato pie, and this turned out terrific even with a store bought crust. Don't tell my mother, but this tasted better than her delicious pumpkin pies! I didn't deviate from the recipe at all, but next time I think I will try making my own crust as well. Thank you so much for submitting a great recipe, Joyce!

Baked Omelet Roll

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2004
This isn't anything to write home about, although, it is a good basic recipe. In order to truly enjoy this dish, you'd have to add other ingredients to spice it up a bit, and make it more flavorful. It is easy to prepare, and requires nothing to have to run to the store to make, which is a plus. Therefore, I'm not giving this recipe too low of a rating, but again, I can't give it 5 stars 'as is', as it leaves a bit to be desired.

Easy Deviled Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2003
This was a nice change from the usual chicken recipes. The mustard and mayo gave it a nice twist. I didn't deviate from the recipe at all, and it came out great. Thanks, Monica!

Mushroom Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2003
Loved these. I didn't alter the recipe other than lacking the fresh mushrooms, however, I believe the pork chops still turned out great. They came out very tender and flavorful. These were well received by the entire family; especially by me considering how easy they were to make! Thanks for sharing, Melissa!

Cranberry Apple Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2003
I have never tried making anything like this before, but I am really pleased with how this turned out. I followed the recipe as is, and wouldn't change a thing. It hits the taste buds just right. My husband hardly touched his, and didn't ask for seconds. Oh, he said he liked it, but I could see that he lacked that little twinkle in his eye, the durned liar! Oh well, I'm still rating this 5 stars because I enjoyed it, and that's all that matters, right? heh heh Thanks, Christine, for the great recipe!

Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2003
The ingredients were similar to what I use for making paper mache crafts. I'm so sorry for the negative review, however, these were just too flat and bland. If adding this and that makes the recipe better, well, then it's not the recipe listed that deserves the stars. Sorry Jan.

No Bake Cookies V

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2003
Betty, I'm cured! I've been going nuts looking for this recipe since gradeschool. I tried others which didn't quite hit the mark. This one is it! Just as another reviewer added, I believe the key is the extra cocoa powder. These tasted wonderful, and set perfectly. My only complaint is that you didn't provide an excuse to tell my husband when he comes home to only find about 10 left! Admittedly, I ate 1/4 of the batch before actually dropping them onto the wax paper. Oops! Thank you, Betty!

Maple Sausage Balls

Reviewed: May 25, 2003
These are the best sausage balls I have ever tasted! The maple in the sausage is definitely the key ingredient. It does take a little work in getting it all mixed up, but it is well worth the elbow grease. I have made these 4 times since the new year. Thanks so much, Katherine, for sharing such an enjoyable and simple recipe!

Apricot Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2003
This was an extremely easy and great dish to make. The apricot jam lends a nice touch of sweetness, yet, it's not too overwhelming for the tastebuds. I also used the red Russian dressing as another viewer had suggested, and it turned out perfectly. Will definitely keep this recipe in my book. Thank you, Shirley, for submitting a nice alternative to the plain ole chicken recipes out there.

Bacon Quiche Tarts

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2002
Loved these! Tasted wonderful! My Mom had dropped by the morning I was making these, so I sent some home for her and my Dad. They called me soon afterward raving about how good "those thingies" were! LOL My oldest son doesn't usually care for this type of thing and was hesitant at first, but he asked for another! I'll definitely be making these often! Thank you, Donna, for sharing this recipe!

Amy's Garlic Egg Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2002
This is a very good recipe to keep on hand. My husband absolutely LOVED it. I let the chicken marinate overnight and did cut the amount of garlic in half. However, I used the full amount of breading mixture so I would have some to use for other meals. I was very pleased with this dish. Definitely lived up to my expectations. Thank you for sharing, Amy!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2002
Delicious recipe! So tender it fell apart trying to get it out of the slow cooker! I only used 2 1/2 pounds of roast as my pot is very small. I seasoned the roast with garlic and pepper before placing into slow cooker. I cooked on high for the first 2 hours, then low for the remaining 6 hours. I went ahead and used 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup, as I wanted plenty of gravy to completely cover the roast. I also took the advice of another reviewer and placed into pot while frozen. Hubby and boys loved it!! This is now in my recipe box! Thank you for the great, easy recipe, Brenda! I have recommended this recipe to a friend, and she's off to the store as I type!

Hot Buttered Apple Cider

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2002
This was pure Heaven! I had never tasted hot apple cider and thought I would give this recipe a shot. It looked very simple to make and I was extremely pleased with just how simple it truly was. My husband tried it and has now made a rule to always keep this beverage on our menu, regardless of the weather! Thank you so much, Karen. You've made my husband and I a couple of apple cider addicts! :)

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2002
This was a very good meatloaf. I had never tried using brown sugar, and I was pleasantly surprised. On a scale of 1-10, hubby rated it an 8. I guess I'll keep looking for that 'perfect' recipe, although I will keep this one too.
