About this Cook
Just someone who loves cheffin' it up in my kitchen. I fiercly enjoy sharing my foods with family, friends and co workers! On my facebook I post pictures of my finished dishes and even named my kitchen - "Bevy's Bistro" . : )
My favorite things to cook
souos of all kinds. Soup is the soul's healthfood ! I am a soup year round person ! Italian sausage soup, minestrone, chicken noodle with dumplings, chili, "Boiled dinner"(beef not ham), split pea, northerm bean and ham, potato with bacon . . . on and on!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Whatever we can cook together is the best! My kids have a love of cooking as well ! When we have holiday meals - we decide on an ethnic theme and cook everything we can find to try for that holiday. GOOD TIMES!!!!
My cooking triumphs
My "boiled dinner" and split pea soup - both won first place awards! The best thing was it was for charity. The money paid totaste test the soups all made went to the charity of the winners choice!
My cooking tragedies
The first time my step mom ever let me touch her stove. I was told to boil some noodles. I was like 8 or 9 and and didn't pay attention to having to drain the noodles when done. So when she got home the noodles were mushyyyyy and GROSS!

Chicken Soup
I use chicken breasts slowly boiled in homemade broth (or left over chicken from a roasted whole chicken) freshly minced garlic, torn spinach leaves, a little onion powder, freshly ground pepper. I use a small pasta like acini de peppe or orzo. As well as shell or egg noodle. The final touch is gramma's recipe for dumplings! There is no end to what can be used in homemade soup - even like rosemary a whole new taste! chicken soup is food for the SOUL!

Italian Sausage Soup
I am a person who loves "cheffin'" and eating hot homemade soups! Thought I would try this one. OMG, It was so SCRUMPTIOUS! It is very hearty and delicious. I used stewed tomatoes that I froze from my garden in the fall. I also used half sweet and half hot italian sausage. I am big on beans so I added extra. VERY WERY GOOD RECIPE, thanks for sharing it!
