About this Cook
I've been married 32 years. I have 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren. I've been cooking for a long time for hard to please people. I went through a stage of not wanting to cook but am getting interested in trying more things again. My husband doesn't like it much but he wants only 3 things and we need more variety. I'm trying to cook more naturally.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook steak, chicken and salmon. I love sweets but trying to stay away from them. I like sweet potatoes and spinach. I love to make Christmas cookies with my grandkids
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love cooking the big turkey dinners. My daughters are starting to cook it and they think it so hard. I used to cook the whole meal by myself and they have each other
My cooking tragedies
I made a homemade mac n cheese for a church social. It was awful. Word to wise don't try new recipes for strangers, try them 1st.

Cooked Pumpkin
I loved how easy this was to cook! But I used someone else's idea and baked it whole! My daughter had cooked another pumpkin and she said it was really hard to cut the pumpkin first. It was so easy to scoop out the pumpkin. I only had enough for 1 pie. But it tasted delicious. There was no extra water so I didn't have to squeeze out any water!

Dad's Leftover Turkey Pot Pie
This was delicious! Next time Ill make a fresh crust. This would be great with chicken too. I hadn't used up all my turkey juice so I used it for liquid! It was good!

Easy Slow Cooker Ham
I tried this for Easter. My family wouldn't eat it. It looked like pulled pork and was very vinegary. I used apple cider vinegar but should have used organic vinegar. My husband thought apple cider might have worked better. Thankfully I made an other ham and they liked it.
