Country Apple Dumplings
Since it was just for two of us I halved the recipe as others have done. The only changes that I made were to use 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of white sugar and I added 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla to the sauce. I also sprinkled a little cinnamon sugar on the apples before wrapping them. They were very easy to make, smelled heavenly while baking, and my husband thought they were amazing. To me they were a touch too rich and sweet for my taste. I will definitely make them again, but next time I will try cutting back a little on the sugar.....maybe using Splenda in the place of the white sugar. I think that serving it with vanilla ice cream or whipping cream would probably also help cut the sweetness.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak
This was absolutely wonderful! My husband loved it and had two large helpings. The only thing that I changed was to add a teaspoon of minced garlic. I mixed the soy sauce, sugar and salt into the bouillon cube mixture before adding to the crock pot. The only other thing that I did differently was to use stir fry beef that was already cut instead of a whole beef sirloin. It cost a little more but saved a lot of time and was so much easier. I will definitely be making this again!

The Best Slow Cooker Cream Corn
After reading all of the reviews I was really excited to try this recipe. However, at least for our family, it didn't live up to it's hype. It was just okay but no one was crazy about it. No one asked for seconds or wanted any of the left overs. Except for halving the recipe I made it exactly as written. It even left kind of an aftertaste in my mouth. For me, it's not worth making again.
