Modenese Pork Chops

These were fabulous! I had no white wine and decided not to buy it and used the red in the house. So moist it made me cry to eat it, but I did.

I made this a few days ago for a chili cook-off, but it never made it to the competition. I heard it was really good. Today I made it again using many of the same ingredients and some of my own ingredients. I call it my Chocolate Alarm Chili cuz it is a perfect sweet and spicy blend.

Russian Tea Cakes II

Made these for Christmas and New Years and they were a hit! I did not add any nuts and rolled in c. sugar before and after baking. I will make again with a twist adding lemon zest w/o nuts.

Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Excellent! I made these for New Years dinner and everyone raved at how tender and mosit the meat was I will always crock pot my ribs from this day forward. I used country style browned them in the oven 15-20 mins, cooked them 5 hours in crock and then transfered them to the grill for carmelization (they were nearly too tender for the grill my husband complained). I cooked so much everyone took some home

Spanish Rice II

Oatmeal Cranberry White Chocolate Chunk Cookies

I tried this recipe after seeing it on the back of the crasin bag and they were delightful, everyone raved about them. The only ingredients that I changed was adding the vanilla and a splash of heavy whipped cream. I glad that I found it on allrecipe now I can increase the recipe without messing it up.

Easy Spinach Lasagna with White Sauce

I enjoyed this recipe, although mine was a bit dry (I added a splash of milk fearing that it would be watery). The favors were very good, I chose to use a frozen vegie mixture (brocolli, mushrooms, red peppers, and canned carrots). I did top it with bread crumbs.

Garlic Fried Rice

After reading all of the reviews I made a few changes I browned the rice in butter first. Then I added the chopped garlic and onion then I added a can of stewed tomatoes and simmered the mix in chicken broth. I flavoered the mix with lime pepper, caynne pepper, and little salt. Absolutely delicious.

Oven Roasted Potatoes

I took a note from CHEFSINGLEDAD and passed on all the misc stuff. This were crisp yet very tender. I was skeptical about the seasoning thinking that two much would stick to the potatoes, but w/ the evoo it was perfect. Topped w/ sweet paprika and thyme right before baking. My meal had a latin theme so they were a bit spicy, but not a bunch. Only a bite or two left and I used 12 potatoes w/ skin.

Chimichurri Sauce for Steaks

Only thing I have to say about this was that I was mad that my guest packed it up and left me only a corner! The look is not so appealing, but the taste is awesome, can't wait to try this during grill parties this summer.

Slow Cooker Spicy Black-Eyed Peas

I was amazed at how well this recipe came out my guest enjoyed it. I changed the recipe a bit added meats bacon, ham hock, chicken, and spicey sauage. A little green & red peppers, red onion and garlic. It was very flavorful and delicious. Served it on New Years Day

Plain Caramel Apples

I made these and maybe I was just thrilled that I got it nearly right, but my family and students enjoyed them. I did alter a few things; *I used a crock pot w/ one of those protector sheets for easy clean up. * I added milk and water, but now I think I should have added more and thinned it out a bit. :) But sticky is good. Iforgot the vanilla, but will do it again this weekend. Now that I have a sense of how to do this I cannot be stopped. I will take over the world hahahahaha I did not have any sliding as noted by others and I too used wax paper. (but only because my hubby reminded me) hahahaha

Luscious Slush Punch

Made this for anniversary dinner party. Dh and I squabbled because he wanted soda and I wanted this. We made 5 1 gal bags and had one left over at the end of the evening :) As for the soda, we bought 70 cans and I noticed only 5 cans were missing the next morning. Everyone loved it and I still make my own version (see previous review). Make this punch you won't be sorry.

Easy Spicy Chicken and Rice

Made this on the spur of the moment and was pleasantly pleased with the outcome. I admit that I changed it up a little, but only out of cause :) I used what I had on hand which was 11 drum sticks. I seasoned my meat, cooked the rice for about 10 min, added white wine to the tomatoes, and chiles for flavor, and cooked for 50 minutes. Loved it

Vintage Lemonade

Okay, okay how bout we name this pucker up lemonade cause that is exactly what you do when you drink it. This stuff is incredible, only problem I see with it is I need a lemon tree to make enough so that it will last. After reading the reviews I elected to juice the lemons first, sugar them, let em sit outside for 60 mins, poured the boiling water waited 20 mins, and BAM I had pucker up lemonade.

Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta

I love this site!!! This recipe was so easy, I prepared it for my hubby who is a night shift worker. It was pipping hot and ready to plate as he turned onto our street. Like other posters I added my own flair mushrooms, red peppers, and lemon pepper seasoning. I also split the milk and cream, this was prepared for 8 servings so I used the amount of flour the recipe called for. It had a bit of a kick, but if it didn't it wouldn't have been cajun. I will definitely make this again.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

This turkey recipe rocks! I have always conceded to using the bag to ensure a moist turkey, never again after discovering this recipe. My hubby commented that it was the second best turkey (deep fried was 1st) he'd ever eaten and the best I'd ever made. I am excited about using this recipe again. As with any recipe I made a few alterations I brined it in a citrus recipe on my deck overnight. In Anchorage Alaska the deck makes a nifty fridge. Excellent turkey.
