Thai Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
This recipe definitely has potential. I should have listened to the other reviewers, and not used as much peanut butter.I found the peanut flavor overwhelming. I think it also could have used a bit more chicken.

Awesome Baked Sea Scallops

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
This was just okay. It wasn't what I was expecting. It was mushier than I thought.

Sweet Potato Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2008
Rolls were good. Soft, and a good consistency. I found a couple things I would change. It needs a little more flour to ensure the dough isn't sticky after it rises. Also, I didn't taste much sweet potato in the cooked bread, and I felt like the overall recipe was missing something. Maybe salt? Maybe sugar? I topped put honey butter, and it actually tasted better.

African Sweet Potato and Peanut Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2008
I really wanted to like this, but I thought it was bland or something was missing. Probably used have used others suggestions to improve, but unfortunately, it was too much time and effort to try this one again.

Corn Chowder with Sausage

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2008
I served this to the family, and it was a big hit! Like some of the others suggested I used chicken broth instead of water. I also added a bit of cornstarch mixed with water to thicken it up. What great flavor! I will definitely be making this again and again. Thanks!

Almond Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
This was not simple to make at all, and I don't think I will try this one again since overall the taste of the dish was just underwhelming. The sauce turned out SUPER lumpy, and all the almond coating came off the chicken into my non-stick pan. I would suggest pounding the chicken into thinner portions or butterflying it before proceeding to make it cook faster. I think the fact that I had to cook the chicken pieces so long until it was done was the reason the almond coating came off into the pan. The reason for the lumps? I am not sure. I think mixing the flour into the milk in another container before pouring into the pan would have helped. But, I followed the directions as noted. Thank goodness my blender saved the day by eliminating the lumps, however when it was all said and done and the sauce was ready, when we sat down to eat the chicken, I found the flavor bland. Lots of effort for little in return.

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
These were great. Like one other reviewer said, it tastes better to reverse the amounts of soy sauce and balsamic vinegar.

Mustard Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
I have been on this kick for awhile of making my own dressings. It's cheaper, healthier and many instances better than what you can get from the store. This Mustard Vinaigrette is one of those examples. It's a simple, tangy dressing that goes well with meat, fruit, cheese or whatever you put on your salad. It's wonderful! I used olive oil instead of vegetable as it was all I had, and though it was great.

Cranberry, Sausage and Apple Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2005
So tasty! I tried this after the Thanksgiving holiday, and wished I hadn't waited. The italian sausage gives this a unique flavor. The Maple Gravy goes well with the stuffing.

One word...awesome! I brought this for Christmas dinner, and it went within 5 minutes. If you are making for a large group, or any party over 5, be sure to double.

Chicken and Broccoli Braid

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2005
I didn't understand how to do the braid, so combining the mixture with the dough was a disaster for me. However, the concoction was rather tasty. Not sure I would try to do the braid again.

Soft, Moist and Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2004
Very yummy! I actually love these better than Cinnabon. My family loves them. I make them once a year at Christmas time, and people rave about it every time. I do recommend the cream cheese icing as opposed to the icing in this recipe. It is definitely more rich, but not as sweet. Actually the rolls taste good without the icing too.

Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2003
Very Good. Goes well with chicken and seafood. I usually add a bit more ground pepper though to give it more of a spicy flavor.
