Grandma Flo's Shipwreck

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2004
This is an excellent recipe, and very versatile. My only suggestions are: 1.Spice the meat while you are browning it, and 2.Use two cans of tomato soup. One can just cannot cover everything. My family loves this recipe and we enjoy any leftovers (I make more so there can be leftovers).

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2004
This was soooo very yummy. Add a little salsa on the side, and watch it get gobbled up. Ok, you can have sour cream too. Make sure to use your absolute largest pyrex you have, I used a 15x19, and I still could have gone up a size. This will leave you with leftovers for the next few nights, but it's so yummy you won't even care that you're eating the same dish three nights in a row.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2004
Maybe I'm not doing it right, but it doesn't taste like what I'm used to using this recipe. Had to add way more spinach and top with lots of cheese. I'll keep tweaking, but I think I'm going to try a different recipe.

Mock Caviar

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2004
Easy to make and very yummy! Instead of using olive oil, I purchased diced tomatoes that had olive oil and garlic already mixed-in. Still used garlic because I love it. Use Lawrey's Season Salt to give it that extra flavor.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2004
Easy to make and wonderfully yummy. Left out the preserves. I also cheated by using the frozen strawberries and raspberries (they were cheaper). I poured the whole bag in, including the juices. Let chill overnight in fridge and strained the next day. My family liked it so much I had to hand over the recipe!!! One last thing, be sure to use FLOUR TORTILLAS, not corn. Both cook well, but the flour ones are way more crispy. Corn just tastes stale.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2004
Unfortunately my family just didn't enjoy this recipe. They said the lime and the chicken were not a good compliment to one another. Oh well.

Oh my gosh, what a hit!!! I added some carrots and potatos in with it, put it on 8-hours, and let it go. When I came home from work, it was ready and very yummy. Very easy, very tasty!!!

Light and Fluffy Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2004
I'd never made quiche before and always wanted too. This was super easy and very tasty. I was so worried that I didn't have enough spinach, and that I didn't dry it enough, but everything turned out great! I'd definitely use this recipe as a starter to any kind of quiche I'll make from now on.

Moist Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2003
This cake keeps coming out like cornbread. If it was cornbread, I'd give it a great review, but because it's supposed to be a cake, no way. I tried this recipe several times, first with the ingredients exactly as they're written, then I tried it changing the amount of flour, adding extra vanilla, etc., it still came out as cornbread.

Chocolate Cherry Upside Down Cake

It's a little heavy, but still good. It's worth trying, and just really easy to make.

Cheese Cake Cups

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2002
Let them overcook a little, then when they sink in the middle, put some fruit filling on top.

Sugar-Free Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2002
This was quick and easy to make. Most people probably have all the ingredients in their kitchen already. You can use any kind of pudding you want (I used chocolate). It complimented the cake recipe I used perfectly!
