Hamburger Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
We loved it, including the kids. Used more hamburger and fewer noodles, just because that's how we like it, and added cheese to the top, but other than that used the exact recipe.

Really good; even my picky kids asked for seconds! I did throw in garlic and Old Bay, noted in the other reviews. We'll definitely have this again; plus it's easy!!!!

Fried the four pieces of bacon, then sauteed the veggies in the grease; left out the potatoes completely; 16 ounces of half/half and 16 ounces of 1% milk, 4 cans of clams, bottle of clam juice (no water at all), everything else exactly the same--oh my!!!!!! the absolute best ever!!!!!! And easy times ten!!

Really good! I added some garlic with the onion and sauteed in olive oil, not butter. Then added minced clams for protein. Yummy!!!

Tex-Mex Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2013
Excellent! The entire family ate it--even my picky 14 year old! Used fresh diced onion instead of minced and 28 oz can of Rotel Original instead of the diced tomatoes, otherewise went strictly by the recipe. YUMMY!!!!!

Jim's Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2013
What is up with those bones in canned salmon? That said, I followed the recipe exactly and the patties were a HUGE success. Delicious! Will put this in rotation since it's only the fourth thing the whole family will eat!!!! (and you really can't have wings every day......)

Shrimp and Crab Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2013
Really good. With the leftovers, I made patties and coated both sides in breadcrumbs, then fried in olive oil. Equally yummy! I would have been just as happy without the shrimp, too!

Three Can Shrimp Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2013
Loved it! Made just a few tweaks--added a can of cream of shrimp soup instead of the baby shrimp and two cans of minced clams; also sauteed regular onion and garlic at the start of the recipe. Delicious and super easy!

Seafood Chowder

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
This is a MUST TRY! Used half and half instead of milk (don't shoot me) and used shrimp and clams as the seafood. Had leftover zucchini and yellow squash so chopped them up as well and used Cream of Potato Soup because I was lazy. Too yummy!!!! Perfect! Super good.

Summer Garden Crustless Quiche

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2013
OMG! Had tomatoes a plenty, so used four, cubed and dried, also two carrots, and two Vidalia onions....about 3 cloves of garlic. Didn't have any kale, but added diced ham. Sautéed all of this (adding tomatoes, parsley and ham last), then put veggies in 9 X 13 pan (too much for just a pie plate), and mixed in egg/milk mixure. Baked for an extra 10 minutes, but let me tell you....DIVINE!!! Served with sour cream and salsa!!!! You can add anything to this recipe!!!

Creamy Cucumber and Tomato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2013
Wonderful, but you don't need this much sugar--just a pinch! Added sour cream as another reviewer suggested and so far this week, we've had it three times--LOVE tomato season!! I've added lettuce, baby spinach and sunflower seeds in varying combinations, and it's always delish!!

Omitted the beans but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. Was super delish! Makes a bunch, so am freezing for future purposes--I'm thinking even as a dip or on top of hamburgers and hotdogs!! Really liked it!
