Bread Machine Bagels

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2011
My kids really liked these so I guess I will be making bagels instead of buying them from now on! Since this was my first time attempting homemade bagels, I followed the recipe exactly - they came out really good but next time I will let them rise longer after forming.

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
It has become tradition that I bring this monkey bread to Christmas morning at Mom's house every year. I use buttermilk biscuits and I omit the nuts because not everyone in the family likes them. I do have a one-piece tube pan but I normally bake it in a stoneware bundt pan. Delicious!

Party Kielbasa

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
I have made this several times for get-togethers and now whenever I am invited to a pot luck, my kielbasa is always requested! I have made this with kielbasa and Lil Smokies (my husband likes it better with those).

B's Cordon Bleu Bundles

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2010
This was pretty good. I used Swiss cheese instead of Brie but they still tasted good. It was a little difficult to wrap the chicken so it didn't look like a mess, but besides that these tasted good and my family enjoyed them. I would make them again.

Snow Ice Cream II

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
This is such a fun and easy treat for the kids! I had better luck when I made it in smaller batches. I added the milk gradually in very small amounts until I got it just the way I wanted it. Very yummy!

Chocolate Sandwich Cookies II

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
These were really good and so easy my 11-year-old daughter made them by herself! I gave them 4 stars because we weren't crazy about the filling. We are definitely going to make them again, but might incorporate some of the suggested changes for the filling. My daughter would like a filling more like a whoopie pie.

Pumpkin Whoopie Pies

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2005
These are delicious! The cookie was nice and moist, and the cream filling light and fluffy. I might try the cream cheese frosting next time, but these are great as-is. This recipe is definitely staying in my recipe box!

Beer Butt Chicken

YUM! My husband had heard of doing this, so I was pretty happy to find a real recipe for it. It came out great - perfectly done and a great flavor!

Beef and Parmesan Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2005
Pretty good, although next time I might use just a bit less parmesan. My kids liked it.

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2005
I have made these several times, using my bread machine to make and rise the dough and they come out great every time. These are the only buns we use for hamburgers now - just takes a little more planning. I have also made them as regular dinner rolls by just making them a little smaller.

Kielbasa and Bow Ties

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2004
With my whole family being big fans of both pasta and kielbasa, this meal was a big hit! I did have to add a little extra liquid, and I used the tomatoes with green chiles to give it a little extra kick. This one is definitely staying in my recipe box! Thanks!

Green Beans with Bread Crumbs

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2004
This was a nice change to plain old green beans. I used frozen instead of fresh and they came out just fine. My kids didn't care for them at all, hence the 4 stars, but hubby and I enjoyed them.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2004
This was fabulous! My whole family loved this! I cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces to make it easier for my litle ones, and added some leftover greenbeans just before I was ready to serve it. I also made biscuits from Bisquick rather than using the refrigerated ones and they cooked up nicely! I ended up having to only cook this for 4 hours on low - I'm guessing because I cut the chicken up? The sauce was a little bland, but salt and some fresh ground pepper solved that problem. My husband took leftovers for lunch the following day and reported that it was just as good warmed up the 2nd day. I'll be making this again. Thanks!

Baked Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2004
My husband was skeptical when it came out of the oven but wasted no time in devouring it. The chicken was nice and moist and had a terrific flavor. This recipe will definitely get a second chance in my house, but next time I think I would increase the soy sauce, butter, and amount of flour.

Crispy Rice Cereal Balls

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2004
I made these for a school party and everyone loved them! They tasted like peanut butter cups. I had to make the balls a bit small to make sure there were enough to go around, so next time I'd double the recipe. I'll be making these again.

Virginia Apple Pudding

I made this using the suggestion in other reviews to use a combination of white and brown sugar, and it was wonderful! Even my husband liked it, and he's not a sweet-eater! I'll be making this again.

Applesauce Oatmeal Cookies

My whole family loved these! And because they are on the healtier side, I didn't at all mind letting my daughters having more than one.
