Best Brownies

Delicious! I didn't have enough butter, so I threw in some oil with the butter I had to compensate. Still came out delicious! Frosting is super tasty, but may be too sweet for some. :)

Frogmore Stew

I love this! I didn't have the Old Bay spice so I looked up knock off recipes and improvised. I am obsessed with the spice so I also sprinkled it all over potatoes, corn, shrimp, and sausage after I laid everything out in the table. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Weekday Pot Roast and Vegetables

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2014
I made this exactly as the recipe stated and it was fantastic. The gravy thins out while being cooked, so no need to add more liquids like many of the reviews state. Lastly, I made mine in an 8qt slow cooker, and that was fine too. I did immerse the meat in the gravy once it thinned out a bit. Delicious!

Crispy Potato Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2014
Soooo good! Tasted exactly how I was hoping they would! The only thing I adjusted was the onion. Instead of shopping the onion, I grated it as well to avoid onion chunks in the potato pancake (that was my dad's suggestion). Delicious! I'll be using this recipe for Easter!

Jamie's Minestrone

This was delicious and simple! The only change I made was using 3 cups broth and 1 cup water. Not sure how much of a difference it made, but yummy!

The Big Easy Jambalaya

I'm almost embarrassed to admit this, but maybe it will help some fellow clueless chefs out there. Andouille sausage is a pre-cooked smoked pork sausage. Just beware if you make any sort of sausage replacement, you should cook it first before you include it in this recipe! Luckily I noticed before I included it and my cooked Italian sausage was a tasty substitute. Great Recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2011
This recipe was pretty tasty. My boyfriend really liked it, but I wasn't as big of a fan. I told him I would only make it again upon request because it was definitely not my favorite. Here are some reasons why: -- Texture: I'm not a huge fan of slow-cooked chicken. I was willing to give it a shot for the sake of the recipe, but I was eating it I just kept thinking about how it would be so more delicious if I made this in the oven. The chicken was dry in chunks. I recommend shredding it if you use the slow cooker. -- Description/Ingredients: The word stroganoff seems to be a bit misleading. I guess I could have decided that based on the ingredients, but this definitely has more of a taste of a chicken casserole than any sort of stroganoff. Tasty, yes. Stroganoff? no. Then again, maybe I just don't know what Stroganoff means (very possible). -- Flavor: While a tasty meal, yes, it is a lot of the same flavor without adding veggies or other good seasonings/spices. I added a ton of frozen mixed veggies (peas, carrots, etc.). This is where I started really liking this meal. :) -- Consistency of Sauce: I had to water it down a lot as many of the reviews mentioned. It tasted very... umm... cream cheesy in texture and kinda flavor too. Pretty good meal, but because of all the reasons listed above, I give it 3 stars. Worth trying, but consider your preferences and trust your recipe-tweaking gut instinct. :)
