Sturdy Whipped Cream Frosting

Waaaay better than buttercream. This was one of THE best frostings I've had in a long time. It has the light texture and taste of the whipped cream frosting from the bakery I buy my cupcakes and cakes at. It's very easy to use through a piping bag and frosting tip. I will never use a different frosting recipe again.

Turkey Pot Pie I

I really liked this recipe. I cheated and used store bought pie crust because I didn't have time to make a homemade crust (made this dish after a lonnnnnng day at work). Next time I will omit the oregano. I'm not a big fan unless it's in Italian food. Other than that... I liked it.

Mustard Chicken

This was very good. I used the suggestions of others and put the paprika, garlic salt and salt on one side. I used Honey Mustard. I didn't have any problems with getting the fried onions to stick. After I pounded the chicken breasts I put them in a zip lock bag and poured the mustard in and let them sit for about 15 minutes. I then put the fried onions in a different zip lock bag to crush them. Poured the crushed fried onions in a pie dish and then put the mustard covered chicken in the pie dish to coat. Came out beautifully. Because I only used 2 breasts that were pounded, I only had to cook them for 40 minutes and they came out done and juicy! This is definately on my rotation and will be trying it out with different mustards. Thanks for sharing the recipe!! :)

Supreme Scalloped Potatoes

These were very good. I did follow the suggestion of others and sliced the potatoes instead of boiling them. Before slicing them I mixed the other ingredients in a bowl (including the 1 cup of cheese) and then set aside. After slicing the potatoes (I left the skins on) I put them in bowl. Then I poured the mixture over the potatoes and put them in a greased 2 1/2 quart casserole dish and topped with more cheese. Baked it at 350 for an hour and a half. Make sure the potatoes are sliced the same size. I used a food mandolin- makes it fast and easy. Next time I think I will also add chopped green onion- including the green. I will be making this again and again and trying different things to add.

Quick and Easy Chicken

Wow... this was very good. I followed trinawittler (below) measurements for the sauce and it was AWESOME!! I think the only thing I may try differently is to cut back just a little on the soy sauce- just a personal preference. I also think I may want to try adding some pineapple and pineapple juice just to see how it would taste. I will definately be making this one again. :)

Best Spanish Rice

This was ok. It took more broth than what the recipe called for and it makes WAY more than 5 servings. I think next time I will use only 1 cup of uncooked rice and keep everything else the same for cooking that will take 20 minutes and not longer and for more flavor. Hopefully this will fix the problems I had.

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

This was good. It's not the absolute best Chicken Cordon Bleu I've ever had... but it is very good. And VERY easy to make, which is why I'm giving it a 5 instead of 4.

Pecan Pie Muffins

Wow!! These are awesome!! I will admit that I was surprised. I followed the other's advice and used only 1/2 cup butter and added a splash of vanilla. I have made 24 mini muffins so far... and still have batter for more. Definately will be making these again!! I wanted to add- I also at first tried the liners... they stuck really bad. So the next batch I made I just sprayed the mini muffin tin llike crazy and then right when they came out of the oven, I ran a plastic knife (so I wouldn't scratch the tin) around and under the muffins so they wouldn't stick. After doing that and them cooling for a couple of minutes, they popped right out. I think the trick is to loosen them in the tin before they cool. Everyone who tried these, have loved them (the 2nd batch with no liners). Thanks for sharing the recipe. I'll be making these around the holidays for the goodie gifts I give out... better than making a whole pie and so much easier!!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Followed recipe exactly as written. I wish I would have done some of the substitutions others made. This was not good to me or my boyfriend. I don't know if it was that there was too much ginger or if it was the white sugar vs brown sugar. But, I did not like this one AT ALL. Sorry, but I will not be making this one again.

Chewy Caramel

All I can say is about these are "Oh my gosh!!!" These are so good and melt in your mouth. I did have to redo the first batch I made because they did't set right, so I took the advice of others on here and cooked it until 250- the hard ball stage and it came out perfect. I'm going to be making a another batch real soon. I won't ever make a different recipe for these ever again. Only this one. Make these... you won't be disappointed.

Peanut Butter Fudge I

Penne, Tomato, and Mozzarella Salad

This was good. Instead of adding the olive oil and basil, I used Italian dressing, also- I did not have cherry tomatoes. I used the grape tomatoes (my favorite) and cut them in half. Will make again.

Smooth Sweet Tea

I wasn't too sure of the baking soda, so I didn't use it and it's still ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!! It does remind me of McDonalds sweet tea, which I have come to love. This will save me $5 plus per week by making it myself. Thanks for sharing the recipe!!
