Campbell's Kitchen Turkey and Stuffing Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2013
We loved this. I like that the stuffing is still a little tiny bit firm (not gooey at all) but mostly soft. We used fresh broccoli and carrots that I steamed in the microwave before putting them in. Very easy meal and very tasty!

Chicken and Broccoli Braid

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2013
We love this. I always cut the dill down because my husband isn't a big fan-I do about 1 tsp instead-maybe less. I also pre-cook my fresh broccoli and used dried minced onion (precook onion if you use it unless you want a crunch). We skip the bell pepper also because my guys aren't fans. I don't do the egg wash over the top-I actually got this recipe from someone in a recipe exchange but couldn't remember all the details so I found this and it was the exact same as hers except for the egg wash.

Apple Crisp with Oat Topping

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2012
This was a BIG hit! I doubled the recipe for a 9x13 casserole dish which worked perfectly (with leftovers) to feed 6 kids under 8 and 4 adults. I used a mix of apples-golden delicious, a granny smith (we don't like our pies, etc tart but I had one on hand), and some red ones-don't remember what they're called but they're close to golden delicious in flavor. I also added some nutmeg to the apples per someone else's review. The top was totally crisp even when warming up leftovers. Excellent recipe and I highly recommend! The oats aren't overpowering so even people who aren't fans of oats would likely like them in this.

I love these! We leave out the nuts but they're amazing without. Very rich but amazing and easy to make!

Pumpkin Wheat Honey Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2012
These are freaking amazing but I followed some recommendations from other reviewers. I followed the recipe but added a big dash of cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg on top of the pumpkin pie spice. I did homemade pumpkin puree and did a cup from what I froze last fall (I froze in 1 c portions for pumpkin pancakes, cookies, etc). Instead of oil I did 1/2 c apple sauce (from the store but it's apples and ascorbic acid only (Vitamin c-I get the "all natural" "no sugar added" kind always or make my own). I didn't do the walnuts because we're allergic but instead did 1/2 c chocolate chips. When you eat them after they've cooled just a bit the raisins and chocolate chips are kind of melted in to the muffin. These are seriously TO DIE FOR and I think the amount of spices I used perfectly enhanced the flavor. GO MAKE THESE NOW!!!! You won't be sorry! I think these make a great breakfast and are pretty darn healthy!

Juicy Grilled Corn On The Cob

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2012
I liked this but my husband said the corn was too sweet. It was our first time grilling corn and it turned out well. Next time I'll use much less sugar

Anise Fruit Bowl

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2012
Really love this one and I HATE black licorice. We hated the smell of the syrup which it was cooking but the syrup is magic! I used fresh green grapes, strawberries, pineapple, cantelope, watermelon, kiwi, and blueberries. ALL taste wonderful with this syrup. I did half the recipe of syrup though because the watermelon was already super juicy. I don't think you need more than half a recipe. I might not have had a full 12 cups of fruit but I think half would still be enough.

Pizza in a Crescent

Reviewed: May 10, 2012
We've made this recipe SEVERAL times. It's one of my husband's favorites. We plan to try it with homemade crescent rolls too but this is really easy with the canned ones. Try doing other toppings too like canadian bacon, bacon, sausage, pineapple-whatever you like on a pizza is really good in this.

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: May 10, 2012
We loved this! First-I halved the recipe and did in a square Pyrex instead-fed me and my 2 sons with 1 portion left over (and I had quite a large portion the first day it was so yummy). I decided to do frozen peas instead of canned (YUCK!) and also decided to add broccoli-I got fresh and cut it up really small. I got my boys to at least try their veggies (15 months and 4 years) and it turned out really yummy. I made homemade Bisquick-followed the recipe from the book Make a Mix and highly recommend the homemade mix. The only down side is that you have a dirty sauce pan and a dirty pan you bake it in-I like meals that only create 1 dirty dish (plus what we eat on). It was worth the extra dishes though. Highly recommend adding the broccoli too-maybe even some cheese.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2011
I love love this recipe!!! I've been searching high and low for this and found this recipe in an email. I added carrots and celery in the end when warming everything up and let it sit on warm for a while because I have two small children (3 and 3 months) but it turned out fantastic. I like the thickness of it when warmed up so I didn't add any milk to it to thin it out. I also didn't do the cream-I just used 2% lactose free milk and it turned out fantastic.

Butter Honey Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
Loved this recipe BUT... Had to reduce the yeast to 1 1/2 tsp-otherwise my bread rises way way too high and falls in the middle (I do live in Utah so that could make a bit of a difference). I did two heaping Tbs of honey because we like our honey wheat bread to be sweet. Also I don't use bread flour-I use unbleached all-purpose and it turns out great.

Crusty French Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
Couldn't be any more perfect! These reminded my husband of the awesome rolls he used to buy when he lived in Brazil. We've only made them once but plan to make these very often. Next time we'll probably shape them as hoagies. If you store them in a ziplock overnight the outside gets a little soft and they go a little chewy (which we liked).

Basic White Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
We liked the taste of the inside but even with putting the crust on "light" for the color it ended up being very hard. The inside was nice and soft though. One other issue we had-there was way too much yeast in the recipe. My bread rose way too high and fell so we weren't able to use it for anything other than just eating (no sandwiches, toast, etc). I will be playing with this recipe a bit. I tried another one that I decreased the yeast down to 1 1/2 tsp of yeast and it turned out great (I got this number from another recipe we've tried that's a 1 1/2 lb loaf). Maybe try this? Also maybe it needs more moisture-I'm going to try adding at least another 1/4 cup next time
