Cheesy Chicken and Rice
I really like this recipe BUT we change up the vegetables and add a lot of seasoning-we used to do carrot and broccoli but we have a broccoli allergy now so we do peas or something else with carrots. We also bake in the oven like a reviewer recommended. I heat oven to 375. I stir the soup, water, rice, onion pwder, black pepper, garlic powder, and any other seasonings we want (we are allergic to nightshades so we don't do paprika and because of modified food starch which is potato starch in the soup I do homemade cream of chicken soup instead) in a pyrex casserole dish. I top with the chicken and if it's thick I cut it in half to make it thinner so it cooks quicker. I cover with foil then bake for at least 50 minutes but usually it's more like an hour and 10 or hour and 20 until the rice is tender and then top with the cheese and let stand 10 minutes. I stir the rice and veggies well before serving.

Chicken and Broccoli Braid
We love this. I always cut the dill down because my husband isn't a big fan-I do about 1 tsp instead-maybe less. I also pre-cook my fresh broccoli and used dried minced onion (precook onion if you use it unless you want a crunch). We skip the bell pepper also because my guys aren't fans. I don't do the egg wash over the top-I actually got this recipe from someone in a recipe exchange but couldn't remember all the details so I found this and it was the exact same as hers except for the egg wash.

Apple Crisp with Oat Topping
This was a BIG hit! I doubled the recipe for a 9x13 casserole dish which worked perfectly (with leftovers) to feed 6 kids under 8 and 4 adults. I used a mix of apples-golden delicious, a granny smith (we don't like our pies, etc tart but I had one on hand), and some red ones-don't remember what they're called but they're close to golden delicious in flavor. I also added some nutmeg to the apples per someone else's review. The top was totally crisp even when warming up leftovers. Excellent recipe and I highly recommend! The oats aren't overpowering so even people who aren't fans of oats would likely like them in this.
