Crown Roast of Pork with Ginger Pomegranate Glaze

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2014
Loved this!! I didn't have a crown roast, but did have two fresh pork tenderloins and was looking for an alternative to honey Dijon which always seems to be my pork go-to glaze. I made this glaze as instructed but added the zest of 1/2 of the lime and a splash of balsamic vinegar (only because I love the stuff so much, I'd eat it over cereal). I allowed it to reduce a bit on the stove until syrupy then let it cool. I put the tenderloins on the BBQ rotisserie and once 1/2 way through cooking I basted them every 10 minutes as instructed and OMG DELISH!! Served with a chop salad and grilled plums with balsamic (again!) glaze. I'm going to double this recipe next time and use it on a lamb shoulder on the BBQ rotisserie. Thanks, JAYDA. Great recipe!

Tomato Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2014
Looking for a lighter alternative to an oil-based vinaigrette so I tried the recipe as posted and it was a good 4 stars - if not a little bland, but I tweaked it up for the 2nd batch...2nd time around I used fresh thyme and basil (fresh herbs are not as potent as dried, so I doubled the amount of herbs). I also used Dijon instead of ground mustard and punched it up with some salt and pepper and 2 garlic cloves. Whirred it all up in the blender and DELISH!!! Omit the vinegar and this could be poured over pasta! In response to other posters stating this was a bit bitter...try removing the tomato seeds before blending. That may take care of the bitterness issue. You can also try a pinch of sugar. Thanks recipe poster. This one is a keeper!

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2013
DELISH!!! So easy and so good! Took the previous posters advice and added some vanilla to the mix. Used a bunch of fruit that was about to turn from the fridge (blueberries, peaches, nectarines, plums and an apple). Sprinkled some brown sugar over the top and viola! Instant yum!!! Hubby says this is a definite "do again"!!!!

Awesome Summer Watermelon Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2013
Tried this today and....AMAZING!!! I added a cubed mango just because I had one over ripe in the fridge, along with some mint and it came out delicious! Oh, and the dressing is BY FAR the best I've made. This will be my new go-to dressing for all my salads! Wonderful refreshing alternative to standard summer salads like Cesar and pasta salad. Thanks, MomZilla!!

Chef John's Chocolate Lava Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2013
Amazing. Followed the instructions exactly and they came out piping hot and perfect. Sifted a little icing (confectioners) sugar over top and a dollop of vanilla ice cream on the side. A definite new family favorite. Thanks, Chef John!

Mom's Best Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2012
OMG! So amazing. I've never tried anything like this before, but this recipe seems fool-proof! I took the advice of some of the previous posters and added a tsp of vanilla as well as adding the peanuts once the mix reaches 250 degrees. I also lined a cookie sheet with tin foil and ran a stick of butter over it. Made clean up so simple! I popped the cookie sheet in a warm oven while everything was coming together. It gave me a little more time to work with the mix once I poured it out. I started with a single batch to make sure I could do it...ended up making 2 more. 5 Stars++
