The Best Parmesan Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2012
I'm sorry, but neither my husband nor I cared for this. I watched the video and followed the recipe exactly. At 350 degrees for 35 minutes, I had almost burned croutons on top and almost raw chicken. I continued baking it with foil on top for almost an hour longer. The flavor was so-so and the croutons were hard as a rock on top and mushy on the bottom.

Cheesy Tuna Melts

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2012
This was really good, but neither my hubby or I thought the tuna filling was hot enough. After broiling, we put it in the microwave for about 30 second to heat it up. Other than that, quite tasty. My picky husband (who ALWAYS turns up his nose at tuna) ate it all. I'm going to experiment with turkey and bacon, still using the English muffin, tomato and melted cheese.

Slow Cooker Beef Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2012
Wow! What a hit! This recipe made an amazing meat n' potatoes meal for my meat n' potatoes husband. I only had a small can of mushrooms on hand, so that's what I used. Using fresh would have made a huge difference in my opinion. My husband can't stand mushrooms, but he ate every bite on his plate and said it was the most outstanding roast he'd ever had. I made good ole mashed potatoes. I didn't have any tomato paste on hand, so I used about 1/4 cup V-8 juice. My only disappointment was my chuck arm roast was only 1.75 lbs., so not leftovers. I will definitely make this again!!

Jiffy Ground Pork Skillet

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2012
Very disappointed in this recipe. Smelled really good while it was cooking, but the flavor was dull and boring. I think if I tried this again, I would used a spicier pork sausage, but frankly I don't think I'll try it again.

Broccoli Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2012
This is an absolute keeper. The only changes I made were: I did not remove the veggies from the pan. I added 2 cups of hot chicken broth instead of the granules, then the other ingredients and put the chicken back in the pan. I cooked it on medium heat for about 5 minutes, then added the cornstarch mixture. I think next time I will add some water chestnuts for some crunch. I served it on brown rice. Excellent!

Reuben Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2012
This is a total keeper and the crock pot is the way to go. I used 1/2 lb. corned beef shredded by the deli department at the grocery store. I also used dark rye bread chunks, but I think a rye cracker of some sort would have been better. Next time I make this, I will definitely try crackers or Triskets instead of rye bread. Very good recipe.

Ground Beef Curly Noodle

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2012
Sorry. Not for us. It was OK, but my husband said, "This is OK, but I'm not going to ever ask you to make it again." It was, however, cheap, easy and edible. I was disappointed because I had read so many positive reviews. Oh well, win some, lose some. I'm not saving this recipe or recommending it.

Chicken 'n' Biscuits

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
I would give this recipe 5 stars because it was so good. However, I felt so guilty eating this extremely rich and calorie-filled dish, that I'm only giving it 4. I used only fresh steamed broccoli and not frozen veggies. The Bisquick biscuits turned out perfect and I did not have the problems that others had saying they were'nt cooked through. I doubt I will make it again just because of the guilt factor. Oh, I did double the soup and milk and added chopped onions.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
OMG! This is awesome. Made it exactly as directed and it was marvelous. We may try a slice of provolone on the sandwich next time, but that would be totally optional. It was GREAT without adding a thing.

Taco Noodle Dinner

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
Wow! How simple and what a hit for dinner last night. I was snooping around your website trying to figure out what to do with a pound of hamburger. I hit the jackpot with this simple recipe. I did omit the mushrooms, but added a small can of corn and a can of black beans. Sprinkled some shredded cheese on top with a spoonful of sour cream on the side. Definitely a keeper recipe.

Baked Omelet

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
I tried this super easy and absolutely delicious recipe over the weekend. I followed the basic recipe, except I added some frozen hash browns from the freezer, chopped red pepper and green onions instead of minced. What I am going to love about making this again is that you can put just about anything in it and change it up. Open the fridge, see what you've got on hand and you're on your way to a delicious egg dish.

Country-Style Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2011
I discovered this recipe on allrecipes.com in March 2011. I have made it at least 4 times and my entire family LOVES it. What a great way to prepare an inexpensive cut of meat. The only change I have made is to increase the beef broth to 3 cups and adding just a bit more flour to it. You will want lots of this delicious gravy. Serve with mashed potatoes. 100% comfort food!
