Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
Wonderful! I use this recipe when I have ton's of tomatoes from the garden. I freeze the tom and juice mixture for winter soup! I wouldn't use anything but the heavy cream, as milk and half and half separates. ( It doesn't taste bad, just looks wierd.) I add some sherry and whatever seasonings I have, to taste. Great recipe!

Lasagna Alfredo

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
I used this recipe as the base to my lasagna and then added to it. The day before I baked the chicken breasts in a pesto sauce. Then the day of, shredded in a processor, sauted garlic, onions and green pepper, added chicken then used the jar sauces. Used some seasonings and added some white wine to give the sauce a nice taste. I used the garlic sauce and the sundried tomato, and then to the empty jars I added some water to get the last bit of sauce and to thin it out a bit. I used cream cheese instead of ricotta. By reading all the reviews, I knew exactly what to do to make my lasagna perfect. Will use this recipe again, and may try to make it a seafood lasagna one day. I served this with my red lasagna, and this was by far the favorite!

Washabinaros Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2008
This recipe is so tasty! I picked this one because I had spicy turkey sausage that needed used up...but I didn't have wasabi or habenero (the 2 main ingred) I had everything else so I went for it, and it's fantastic! Chili is usually the one dish I make from the "packets"...(I thought it was faster and easier) but this was pretty easy to make. Tim helps with the chopping of the veggies...he loves garlic, so we used a head of garlic. Can't wait to make this again, WITH the wasabi. Yummmmmmmmmmm

Corn and Chicken Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2007
The chowder is simmering on the stove this minute!! I omitted the ham, forgot the onion, added some carrot, used rotisserie chicken to save some time, added a tablespoon or two of chicken "better than boullion" to season it up, and used potato flakes to thicken it up.(maybe 2 or 3 tablespoons) Right now I'm contemplating adding any milk...tastes good as it is! Good recipe!

I really liked this recipe. Just what I was looking for. Used Old Bay, added some fresh squeezed lemon, and it was perfect for New Years Eve dinner. Will use this recipe again, and again...

Green Chile Stew with Pork

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2004
The stew was great! Added potatoes and onions. Next time I will skip the green chile salsa, it gave it a tangy taste, it was perfect before. This one is a keeper. Served it over sopaipillas, will try next time as enchilada sauce. 2015~taste has changed. I prefer the green chile salsa.
