About this Cook
I am from Bulgaria, but for the last 22 years I am living in Greece with my daughter.Single mum most of my life.Love to make and eat sweets.Never been a big fan of cooking.I've been doing it only because I have to.And this is the reason I am not very good at it.But ever since I found this site I developed unbelievable interest about it.I can't wait to open my e mail, check the new recipie and find something new to try and learn.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas eve. This is the day when all the food is meatless.Stuffed pepers with beans, sour cabage, pumpkin pie and on and on.No matter where people are everybody is trying to get home.
My cooking triumphs
Two years ago for my parents 60th anniversery my mum made a very delicious meat loaf with mushrooms and sause. So for this Christmas I decided to give it a try.We gathered into a friend's house and I was nervous like a kid first day at school. The time to eat came and before I know it,it was gone.I felt so proud of myself like never before.
My cooking tragedies
weeeell, that was a long, long time ago when i first started to learn how to cook.On my own by the way.Wanted to make baked rice.Sounded pretty easy.Put tomatoes, onoin, pepper, rice of course and put it in the oven.Didn't realize I had forgotten a very important ingredient-the water, until i heard a strange popping sound.Open the oven and what do you know, the rice started walking in tne kitchen.Believe me,nobody dared to try it.Now I laugh about it,but at that moment it was the biggest tragedy in the world.

Key Lime Pie VII
Five stars are not enough for this recipie.I didn't have graham crackers so i used a cheese cake base and yogurt instead of sour cream. It took me only 6 limes for the amount of juice that is need it.I have no idea what you girls did with 20 or 30 limes. Here is a small tip for squeezing limes and lemons. Before you do it press and roll them with your palm to soften. This way you can get all the juice out of them very easy.I also didn't get any bubbles so I ended up cooking it for about 20 min.I had 17 limes and now i have 11 left for another 2 pies.I love it.Thank you

Easy Mexican Casserole
Delicious meal.Althoug i had to improvise a bit and use whatever i had in the house at that moment it turned out gteat.Used kidney beans instead of chili beans, nachos corn salted chips,Regato cheese instead of Cheddar, put some cumin in the beef. Here in Greece we don't have sour cream so i whisk 2 yogurts with little vineger. It's going in our menu list.

Lentils and Rice with Fried Onions (Mujadarrah)
This was wonderful and very healthy meal.I did put a pinch of cinnamon in the onion, like some people suggested and it tasted great. Also used 2 onions instead of 1(because my daughter loves it).In the reviews sombody mentioned that the water for the rice is not specified.I always put 3 cups of water for 1 cup of rice and it never fails. My guess is that I am gonna be making this very often.
