About this Cook
I'm a young married mother currently taking a break from college to give more time to my family rather than my studies. I love to cook and read about food, I especially love cooking difficult and challenging dishes. I have all the basics down with cooking and I cook from scratch 90% of the time, I want to learn how to cook everything from scratch and I want to develop great skills at it. I cook all three meals a day and snacks, mainly because I have a son who is a diabetic and I want to make sure he's getting the right food and carbs. I would definitely say I'm not an expert at cooking, I don't have everything down from memory, but I do have a passion for cooking.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie
The cookies definitely came out delicious and chewy, the recipe for the batter is fantastic if you follow the directions carefully like I did, I read the reviews to see what may need to be changed or added, but I only saw the need to be careful about following the recipe exactly as it was written. The cookies did need to sit for two minutes in order not to fall apart, which is no big deal at all, the biggest problem that I had that made me frustrated about this recipe was the amount of chips called for, there were WAY too many chips! It was annoying to try to keep the batter together, next time I will make this recipe I will cut the amount of chips by half. I couldn't even use all the chips!

Simple Whole Wheat Bread
I love this recipe, the bread comes out perfect with a soft texture better than store bought sandwich bread, the loaves rise beautifully, and the bread tastes heavenly. I wouldn't substitute the honey with sugar, because I think it would take away the taste.

Rainbow Clown Cake
I made cupcakes instead of one cake, but they turned out really pretty, I used less coloring to have a pastel look. I also looked up white cake recipe instead of using white cake mix since it taste sooo much better than cake made from a package if you bake your cupcakes from scratch.
