Creamy Rice Pudding

I love this recipe. This is the second time making it and it was so yummy. This time, however, I ran out of eggs so I substitute 1TB of corn starch and dissolved it into the 1/2 cup of milk. I didn't have short grain rice this time around so I used long grain. I think the starch kept its thickness. The biggest mistake I made was not cooking the rice long enough. So, make sure you fully cook the rice before adding the milk!

Cowboy Oatmeal Cookies

I actually tried this recipe out because of the great reviews. I think it smelled a lot better when I was making them. The taste was not so good. I can't explain it, it wasn't sugary enough. I should have put more sugar. I took people's advice of adding 3 cups of oatmeal instead of 2 and I omitted the chips and added raisins. Maybe the raisins did it but what is an oatmeal cookie without raisins?! Eh, don't think I'll try it again.

Hearty Vegetable Lasagna

This was soooo good. It's actually 10X better than the meat lasagna. I omitted the mushrooms but added spinach, carrots, and zuccini. It was delicous!

Best Ever Pie Crust

I used this recipe and it was great. A good tip to keep in mind: is to use everything COLD! Even the knife to half the dough with. I put an ice in the water to keep it chill and I only used half butter & half shortening. I actually didn't have enough of the shortening but it still came out great. Also, keep in mind not to work on it too much since it will toughen the dough. When rolling the dough I put it between platic wraps to keep from sticking. You can also put flour but the plastic wraps worked wonders for me.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

If there were anymore stars. I would be more than happy to click on all of them! When I had a taste, I was just speechless. This was the best apple pie I have ever tasted. I didn't add all the apples needed-- just enough to fill the pan. I also hand-made the crust from one of the recipes on here. It was nice and crispy. It was not soggy at all! I kept the recipe just as the recipe calls for without adding any spices. Next time I'll try adding ground cinnamon with the apples. Either way with or without... it was DELICOUS!

Bread Pudding II

I chose to give it only one star because when I baked this recipe. It never really cooked. So, I kept giving it a "few more" minutes. I followed the recipe as is. When I took it out of the oven and let it cool, it deflated! It was embarrassing when I showed it to my family.
