Okay, I'm not stupid. I followed this recipe very closely. I only added some of the other suggestions like oregano and doubling up on the beef broth. But i'm confused, I cooked the packaged italian sausage, this recipe says nothing about cutting it up (since mine was in links) I'm guessing it was supposed to cook it like ground beef. Anyway, I cooked it in the garlic, then cut up the italian sausage into bite sized pieces. Put in 2 cans of tomatoes, no carrots, 2 cans of northern beans, no zucchini, and let it simmer for 15 minutes. I also added two small yellow potatoes (cubed) which took A LOT longer to cook,(i think this is when it started to thicken) and then separately cooked a cup of pasta, drained and rinsed and then added. Mind you, if this is not eaten immediately, it turns into a big pot of mush!!
