Shrimp Fra Diavolo

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2014
Saw this on Giada's site. Very easy and good. As suggested, cook shrimp a bit in olive oil and red pepper for extra flavor --add when complete. I use the Costco frozen shrimp and this becomes a very quick, easy meal the whole family loves.

Chef John's Baked Eggs

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2014
I love this recipe! We have this very regularly. I always have the ingredients on hand and it is quick and easy to make. Serve with toasted bread or garlic bread -- a must. Watch the video and cook just as Chef John says. Trust me...it's good!

Slow Cooker Bolognese

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2014
This was really good. My family liked it a lot. Much easier than regular Bolognese. Serve over heavy noodle such as rigatoni. Add a pinch or two of sugar and whatever tomatoes you have on hand (diced, whole...) Very, very good.

Green Bean and Asparagus Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2014
Very good and pretty to serve. I used the frozen green beans from Costo instead of fresh. Just watch the texture of beans and asparagus until it is to your liking. Will make again.

Tomato Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2014
I make this all the time. It is very good. I've used cream,1/2 and 1/2 or milk. Family likes 1/2 the best. Also, I saute the onions a bit before adding the rest of the ingredients. Always use the exact amount of baking soda. I use an immersion blender to get some of the chunks out.

Kathy's Delicious Whole Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2013
Followed this recipe exactly. Tasted it an hour before done and thought it was a little bland. I shredded it, cooked it in the juice a bit longer. I served it as a sandwich with au juice like a French dip. It was delicious.

Curried Potato Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
This is delicious. I used red onion rather than the green, and double the curry. I also used russett potatoes. If you like potoato salad or curry, you'll be pleased.

Oh my gosh...this is delicious! My son made it so easy dish. Used 1/2 the amount of sugar. Make sure to cool it a long time before turning it out. We didn't even have time to frost cake and it was wonderful.

Wonderful dressing. I scaled back to serve 10. Perfect fit for my little Good Season's carafe. I added a heavy pinch of sugar which made it even better.

Ground Venison Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2012
This is simply delicious. I make these regularly with or without buns. I add mayo with the yogurt in the burgers to give them a little fat. I also add Greek yogurt to the mayo sauce to lighten it. Add more onion and zest. The burgers have a slight Greek taste to them. Try them.

Very good use of ground venison. I also used can of Rotel as well as stewed tomatoes. Added paprika for color, cummin, a dash of cayenne for heat. Beef boullon for richness. Will make again.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
This is definitely a keeper. One of my husband's favorites and my family go to on busy nights. The key is to shred the chicken for the last 30 minutes or so as others have stated. Also, toasted bun.

Rosemary Chicken with Orange-Maple Glaze

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2011
Very good. Followed exactly. All the family loved it. Sauce needs to cook longer than five minutes (I'd guess 10-15 min) to thicken. Ours was too thin but still delicious. Rosemary flavor - perfect.
