Basic Biscuits
If you've had trouble with biscuits in the past...look no further. This basic recipe is a no brainer and just as easy and quick as any I've ever done. All of the substitutions will work...particularly the swap out of shortening with butter and too...sour or buttermilk. Some tricks besides folding the dough to layer it, is don't over-handle the dough, and using a sharp cutter that won't crush the dough as you're cutting the biscuit. It allows the dough to expand while baking...giving that flaky end result.

Easiest Focaccia Recipe
Nothin' complicated about this recipe nor cockeyed regarding the mix except for the salt. Add a teaspoon more than it asks for and all will be right with the world. Add the water till you get a soft dough...and the rest is how you like it with Italian herbs and olive oil. A great and consistently good focaccia. Hats off to Ms. Morticia!

Authentic German Bread (Bauernbrot)
A marvelous and tasty recipe for what I think is about as genuinely German as you might get from any B├Ąckerei. And though this peasant bread will give you quite a workout in the kneading process, it is well worth it given the end result. And oh...no joke on the pre-ferment prep for this sourdough. Make sure the vessel is at LEAST twice as large as the quantities you're going to mix together as this will contain the growth and prevent a over the top experience! Thanks Petra!!
