Cinnamon Popcorn II

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2004
Very pretty pink color! I agree that it was too chewy so I did throw mine in the oven @ 200* for about 30 minutes. Gives it a nice crunch. Not a hot cinnamon flavor, more mild and it is buttery. All and all pretty good. I am going to make some more for my child's Valentine's party at school.

Cinnamon Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2004
I don't know if I did something wrong but this did not fit in my 16x11x1 pan. Perhaps 13x9 would've worked. Anyway, it turned out more like a huge misshapen cookie, a little burnt on the edges so the middle would cook. The batter was yummy and the result is not bad. Had I made it into cookies, I think it would have rated 4 stars. I'll give this one another try.

Salsa Biscuit Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2003
This is tasty and easy. I used Grands biscuits and stretched them out, filled them and pinched the seams together and layed them seam side down on the baking sheet, since I didn't have any toothpicks. Worked great! Next time I'll add diced chiles for a little kick, or hotter salsa.

Sticks and Stones Candy Bark

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2003
I am so happy to see this recipe again! I had tried it last year and foolishly did not add it to my recipe box. It must've disappeared for the summer and has returned! This is very easy to do and very tasty. It lasts a long time in the refrigerator...if you can make it last a long time. Very good!!

Blueberry Monkey Bread

Reviewed: May 31, 2003
This is extremely tasty. I can't walk by it without grabbing a piece even after I've had my fill. One thing I've noted since cooking it twice...there are too many biscuits. It has twice smelled up my house with burning blueberry goo and forced me to clean my oven(not a bad thing) from overflowing wonderful tasting blue goo. The cake is worth it however! Try using 3 cans of biscuits. If not for the mess, I would definitely give it 5 stars.

Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2003
I used mini chocolate chips and I wish I had only used 1 cup. Too chocolately...and I love chocolate. I think they would have turned out better if I had used 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup chopped walnuts. They are not bad, but not great.

Almond Coconut Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2002
This cake is SOOOO good. It just fit in my 9x13 in pan. I let the coconut sit on the cake just a bit, before I put the chocolate on it. Everybody LOVED it. Definitely have the milk on hand to go along with it!

Banana Peanut Butter Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2002
Okay, so I had to tweak this recipe as I found I was short on ingredients. I used only 3 tbsp butter, 1/4 cup chunky peanut butter, 1/2 cup peanuts (crush them before adding to batter) and added 2 cups All-Bran Cereal for fiber(soak w/ water for 5 minutes). YUMMMMM!! Oh, and I added 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips to half the batter. I made 24 muffins. 3 grams of fiber per muffin. Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that I wish it were a little lower in calories, but still very, very good.

Cereal Yogurt Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2002
This are quite good. I made them once with reduced fat margarine (Brummel & Brown works well). Today I made them with 1 cup Raisin Bran & 1 cup Kashi Good Friends. I also added 1/4 cup of diced apples. Very tasty indeed! Plus the kids eat 'em up.

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2002
FABULOUS! So moist and great tasting. I made it for my husband who loved it and then for my girlfriend after she had some surgery. They were impressed. I put the chicken in a bag w/ the seasoning and shook it up. Coats really well that way. Couldn't have been easier. I used Pace's Cilantro Salsa...YUM YUM YUM!!

Swiss Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2002
I thought this was easy to prepare. It was very good, I used FF cream of mushroom and plain stuffing so I didn't think it was salty at all as some reviewers had commented. My husband and kids all thought it was great too! Might cut down on the butter next time.

Chocolate-Zucchini Cupcakes

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2002
Wasn't that impressed. Maybe it was because I used applesauce instead of oil. Seemed like it was missing something. Maybe, I'll try once more and add vanilla as someone suggested. The frosting was the best part of these.

Cheddar Chicken

Very good and very easy. I made it using only 2 tbsps. of butter. I found that enough to coat the chicken breasts. Will be making this often, I think.

OMG! All I can say is that I was reading the reviews while waiting for the cake to cool, and because everyone raves about it I went to have a piece...this is just so darn good. Yum, yum, yum!

Strawberry Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2002
I've made this 3 times so far, once I used more cinnamon than the recipe asked for (by mistake) and applesauce instead of the oil(each time), it was fabulous. A second time I made it w/ the correct amount of cinnamon and it was good. The third time I tried more strawberries as some have suggested and found it too sweet for my tastes. I'll go back to the extra cinnamon. Still an easy recipe and very good and moist.

Thought it was great. I didn't have cherries so I used strawberries, used vanilla extract, and skipped the walnuts. Yum. Also, I used applesauce instead of the butter and it turned out great!!
