About this Cook
I am a 29-year-old housewife and mama with an English/Greek Cypriot/Cajun (French Canadian) background who loves to collect and cook recipes from around the world.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook everything, but I am certainly better at cooking meals than I am at baking goodies. I find baking to be a lot more scientific and difficult to tweak. I am always trying new things in the kitchen and eager to learn.

I've never attempted popovers before (until now) and they turned out great! I made them exactly the way the recipe was written. I didn't have popover tins, so I used ramekins, with perfect results. We ate ours with bacon and eggs. Delicious, thank you!

Zucchini Patties
I just made and ate these zucchini patties, and my whole family loved them! I doubled the recipe (didn't double the egg) and added fresh basil from the garden and a chopped red bell pepper. Other than that, the only change I made was to omit the salt and sprinkle the patties with a little bit of Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning as they sizzled in the skillet. I learned through trial and error that it's best not to make the patties too large, because they could turn out a little too soft and floppy. A gentle heaping on a tablespoon should be just right. They are amazing served with some sour cream. I can't wait until my garden tomatoes are ripe so that I can make these again and top them with fresh slices! Thank you, Sherlie, for a delicious new summertime recipe!!

Thai Pork with Peanut Sauce
I loved this recipe so much! Tonight was my first time making it, so I made it with exact ingredients listed. The only thing that I did differently was to cut up the pork chops into cubes after browning and I added the sauce directly to the skillet with the pork (without removing the pork). Eat this over Jasmine rice. Very very good! I will definitely make this again!
