Chocolate Cupcakes with Caramel Frosting

Reviewed: May 16, 2012
Perfect! Delicious and moist cake. My family LOVED it! I didn't make the icing because my family prefers a cream cheese icing that I make. I didn't change anything except for using two round cake pans instead of cupcakes. Will definately make again! Thanks for the yummy recipe!!

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2012
This was so delicious!! Everyone loved it and went back for seconds. I fried up some bacon to put as a topping along with some green onions. I did put about 3 teaspoons of bacon grease in with the butter. I used half-n-half instead of just milk. Also, I loved the flavor the green chiles gave the soup. I don't think anyone should omit that ingredient. They are not spicy if you get the mild ones. I used the Mexican style velvetta cheese and I couldn't be happier with the results. I would not consider this soup spicy. I will be making this again and I will also be having leftover soup for breakfast tomorrow morning. Yum!! Thanks for the recipe!

Lemon Orange Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
This is a wonderful cake! My husband had 4 pieces over the course of 2 days as he is not a big sweets person so that is a huge sign of how good this cake is. The only thing I would recommend is if you're a big lemon fan then you should put more than what's required for the cake. I could barely taste the lemon flavor in the cake. I would recommend this cake and I will be making it again in a couple of weeks. Thanks so much for the recipe!!

Mom's Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
We absolutely love these! I have already made them three times and are planning on making them tomorrow morning. I just found this recipe a couple of weeks ago and I am so glad I did. I will never use a pancake mix again. I always double the recipe to fit my family of 5 and I only use the amount of salt required for one batch. Also, I add 2 tsp of vanilla extract. These are great and my kids love them! Thanks!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2011
These chocolate chip cookies were really good. I made it right by the recipe. The only thing I will do different next time is to use some other type of chocolate chips. I didn't love the semi-sweet chocolate chips. I think milk chocolate chips or peanut butter chips would of been much better. Thanks for the recipe!

Almost No Fat Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2011
This was great! I can eat banana bread and not feel bad about it. When I saw this recipe I was of course very skeptical. I figured I would give it a try and use some of the other reviewers suggestions. I was more than happy with the way it came out. Do this and you won't be disappointed. I added a 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour along with the 1 cup of all purpose flour. I was just trying to make it a little healthier. I added 1/4 tsp of salt, I did use the 3/4 cup of sugar, I didn't add the cinnamon because I used one of those individual cinnamon applesauce cups. I used the whole thing and I think next time I will definately use more cinnamon bc I really didn't taste it in the bread. I did use one large egg instead of two egg whites. I used 1 tsp of vanilla extract and of course I added ab 1/3 of a cup of chopped walnuts. In my opinion you can't have banana bread without nuts. Also, I used 3 very ripe bananas. This was so good and I will definately make it again! The only things I may do different next time is that maybe I will use all whole wheat flour just to see how it comes out and definately more cinnamon seeing as how I only used what was in the applesauce cup this time. Thanks for this healthy take on banana bread!

Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2011
This recipe was really good! We were so impressed. It does take quite a bit of work, but it is definately worth it. We let the chicken marinate overnight. We didn't mix the sauce with the chicken bc of what other reviewers said. The batter on our chicken was trying to come off so I definately think it's better to dip the chicken or pour the sauce over it last minute. We doubled the sauce just to make sure we had enough. The only other thing that I would suggest is to fry the chicken with egg and flour like you would make fried chicken. We think that would of helped the batter stay on and also to use more oil for frying. Everyone enjoyed it and it was just so yummy! I will definately be making it again using the tips I stated here. Thanks for the delicious recipe!

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
This was so great! I always order this at restaurants and now I can make it at home whenever I want! My family loved it and it was gone in less than 30 minutes. Next time I will definately double the recipe. The only thing that I changed was that I put more garlic (we love garlic) and I wasn't able to use garlic salt because I didn't have any so I just used garlic powder and a little extra salt. Also, wasn't able to find Romana cheese so I just bought the Italian blend cheese which had it in it. I also mixed the mozzarella in with the dip and just sprinkled the good Parmesan on top before baking. This was awesome and I will be making this again! Thanks for the recipe!

Yummy Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2011
This is a really delicious honey mustard sauce. My kids are huge fans of honey mustard and it is really hard to find a good one in the store. The only thing I changed to suit our preference is that I added only 1 tbsp of yellow mustard. I also always double the recipe because we love it that much! Thanks for the recipe!

These were good cookies. Simple, fast and tasty. They are really rich so you can only eat a few at a time. Definately worth making. Thanks!

Simple Mexican Rice

Reviewed: May 28, 2011
This was excellent! My family loves Mexican food. I made this recipe without changing anything and it came out perfect. We had a full spread of Mexican food which included the guacamole (by Bob Cody)and dinner was just delicious. My husband could not stop talking about how good dinner was. We will be making this recipe again very soon. Thanks for the recipe!

Guacamole

Reviewed: May 15, 2011
This was so yummy! Everyone devoured it and I will definately make it again. The only thing I did different from the recipe was that I added more garlic. Maybe next time I will try adding some cumin like some of the other reviews suggested. Thanks for the delicious recipe!

Lemon-Cream Cheese Cupcakes

Reviewed: May 10, 2011
These were so good! I can't get over how moist they were. I would highly suggest to anyone about to make this to get the white cake mix that has pudding in the mix. I think that really helped make my cupcakes so delicious. With the pudding already in the cake mix and the extra lemon pudding, how could it not? I also added extra lemon juice to the cake mix and icing. My only concern is that I think too much lemon juice in the icing will make it runny so be careful. If you like moist lemon cupcakes then you need to try this recipe. I always keep a really close eye while baking so I don't overbake. I am not sure exactly how long they cooked for, I just kept checking them with a toothpick. This is a great recipe and a keeper in my house!

Cowboy Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
These were so good! I also liked that you could change it up according to your liking. I decided to add 1/2 cup of butterscotch chips and 1/2 cup of chocolate semi-sweet morsels. Next time I will probably add white chocolate chips and omit the butterscotch (not a big fan of those). I did do as some other reviews suggested and added 1 tsp vanilla extract and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. I also added 3 cups of quick cooking oats. They came out wonderfully delicious! Make sure you keep a close eye while baking so that you don't overcook. There is nothing better than a chewy cookie!! Thanks!

Cream Cheese Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
We really liked this recipe! They were easy to make and tasted so much off pumpkin. We love pumpkin in my house! The only thing I did different was I added 1 tsp of vanilla and 1 tbsp extra of sugar to the cream cheese mixture because of some of the other reviews I read prior to making. They really were YUMMY! Thanks!!
