Ginny's Cauliflower and Pea Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2006
This is such a good idea. The ingredients are great for my dad's diabetic diet. And I thought it would taste great too-- until I got to the tablespoon of seasoned salt part. I hesitated, and then put in two teaspoons of salt instead of the tablespoon. WHOA! Too much! I tried to compensate by doubling all the other ingredients in the dressing-- but it was too late. I ran out of mayo and sour cream, and the salad looked more like soup by the time I finished. I do want to try this recipe again-- but next time I'll add the seasoned salt 1/2 teaspoon at a time until I find the right balance.

Baked Oatmeal II

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2003
Wonderful! As one reviewer mentioned, the oatmeal did not stick together like "bars." It was a bit crumbly, so I served it in bowls and with milk over the top... It tasted like cookies dipped in milk. My family loved it. They've even been telling the neighbors about how great it was! And it made the whole house smell heavenly!

Slow Cooker Escalloped Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2003
Wow! This was great! I followed the earlier suggestions to half the liquid and the butter. I also put frozen chicken leg quarters in the slow cooker first, and then boned and skinned the chicken before adding the rest of the ingredients. My family raved for days about this recipe. Thanks, Peg! This will definitely be on my list of "best" recipes!

Asparagus Casserole II

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2003
I made this recipe tonight for my parents. There were no leftovers! My parents and I all thought it was very good-- it would be especially good as a breakfast casserole. By the way, I couldn't find an oven temperature listed, so I put it in at 275 for 30 minutes. But I rate my recipes by whether or not I think I would get an immediate proposal of marriage if I served it to a date. It was very good, but probably not worthy of a marriage proposal.
