Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2014
I boiled my pasta with 2 cubes of beef "squares of broth I cannot spell", dumped the sauce/beef/onion mixture that I added about 4 cloves of garlic to back in the pot with the drained pasta, mixed in the sour cream, and did 2 layers. The mixture, topped with provolone, mozzerella, and parm, then more pasta mixture, and the other half of the cheeses on top. baked as directed. Used 2 jars of Rinaldi sauce that was on sale. One jar was garlic and onion or something and the other was mushroom and peppers I think. Turned out amazing. Especially since I am not a ricotta cheese fan.

Classic Goulash

Reviewed: May 3, 2014
Couldn't be easier. Didn't use any bay leaves, but it still turned out yummy. I added green pepper. Leftovers were even better.

Chicken Vesuvio

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2014
Definitely edible, but definitely something I wouldn't add to the rotation. Was looking for a 'cupboard' recipe, and it worked. fiance ate it. but he likes his potatoes mushy, and they certainly weren't. removed the chicken and cooked 40 minutes longer. (and i cut them into 1/2 inch pieces) Tasted ok, added extra garlic, but still seemed like it was lacking something. Even used an italian seasoning instead of straight rosemary. might use this as a base for something better, but nothing to write home about.

Stuffed Shells III

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2014
This was very good, first time I made stuffed shells. 6 year old enjoyed, as did my fiance. I used 2 jars of sauce, and feel it definitely needs it. I poured some into the bottom of the pan before I put the shells in. No mushrooms (cause of the 6 y/o). Very easy and tasty. Next time I'll make with homemade sauce, that would probably knock it out of the park!

Caramel Apple Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2014
I came across this recipe after seeing a $30.00 8 inch caramel apple cheesecake in one of those holiday catalogs. Never made cheesecake before, and it came out perfect! Next time I'll use less apples so I can taste the actual cheesecake more.

I made this one night, and my fiance and I did not care for it. He eats just about everything. Will not make again.

Onion Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2014
I made this exact recipe based on things I had on hand a few weeks ago, and was browsing through my recipe box and found this recipe! Only thing I did different was added a little ranch dressing to my mayo because I didn't have enough. It was very good, but very salty.

Skillet Ham, Cabbage and Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2014
Made this tonight, it was delicious! Used some extra paprika and lawrys, and added black pepper. Also used a cup of chicken broth in place of the 1/4 cup of water. Had to simmer an extra 20 minutes to get my potatoes mushy like my fiance likes them. I usually make this in a crockpot, but this is a quicker and equally delicious alternative.

Pittsburgh Steeler Super Bowl® Sampler

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2013
Easy to make, love one dish meals, but it was a little bland. I expected this so I added some freshly diced garlic, and a little bit of Lawrys. Like another reviewer I boiled my egg noodles in beef stock. Also, as I was eating it, it occurred to me that with the egg noodles and the pierogies (which I lightly browned first) it was a little too noodley. I think I'd like it better with some baby red potatoes instead of pierogies, and some more seasoning.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2012
I LOVED this. So easy. I added some of the spices from the taco seasoning on here to the brand I had. I just checked the ingredients, and added what wasn't in there already. It was really good served over rice.

Anna's Amazing Easy Pleasy Meatballs over Buttered Noodles

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2012
I halved the recipe, and did it on the stove. Used 2 12 oz bags of meatballs, and put as many in the sauce as I could. had leave a few out. heated over med heat for about 25 minutes. After the noodles were done I mixed it all together in a casserole dish so I can bring the leftovers to work tomorrow and feed some coworkers. It made a ton! (also left some of the noodles out, seemed like too much for the sauce) It was delicious, easy and pretty quick. Will definitely make again.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Good meatloaf, easy, no crazy ingredients. I topped with some bacon I wanted to use up. Probably won't make anytime again soon, only because there's so many other meatloaf recipes out there!

Easy Red Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2012
I've made this before and I love it. I used to get zatarans version every now and then for an easy dinner, but I wanted to try something more homemade, but with minimal ingredients. The only thing different I did was only use 1 can of beans, and I added a cajun seasoning blend in place of salt and pepper. Putting the ingredients on my shopping list to make again this week.

Home-Style Chicken and Sausage

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2012
Made as written except omitted green beans, and used canned potatoes that I added at the end. It was okay. I mixed my potatoes with the onion and green pepper, which was tasty.I don't think I'm a fan of the chicken/sausage combo. Very easy, decent flavor.

Skillet Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onion

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2012
Great one dish recipe. Made as written, but for the last 15 minutes of cooking time I shifted potatoes to the bottom. I guess I didnt cut them thin enough, but that helped. Overall very easy, potatoes were phenomenal, the pork was enjoyable. If I make it again, I will adapt for slow cooker.

Kielbasa with Peppers and Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2012
I love one dish meals! Made as written but added some onion I wanted to use up, and also some fresh garlic, and a mild cajun seasoning. Didn't quite take the whole 25 minutes, but that's always a good thing. Fiance loved it. Will definitely make again
