I love to cook but finding time to do it right isn't easy. My husband and I work nights and rarely get to eat together, but that's not stopping us from cooking healthfully and avoiding processed foods. I am always searching for one-dish recipes that pack up well into lunchbox leftovers we can take to work.
My favorite things to cook
I love to try new Asian and Middle Eastern recipes and anything spicy. I'm always looking for new ways to sneak in whole grains and fresh produce into everything we eat. My favorite dishes to cook only use one pot.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom can cook anything in a cast iron skillet, anything! I have never had fried chicken as good as hers in my entire life.
My cooking triumphs
I recently got to host our family's Thanksgiving dinner and I have to admit I did a great job thanks to this website. The apple pie I made was so good that I'm still hearing about it from my in-laws!
My cooking tragedies
Most of my cooking tragedies involve rice being either undercooked or burned. To remedy the problem I've invested good money in rice cookers but they always break on me.
