Chef John's Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2012
Came out perfect! To the people who do not have self-rising flour: For every 1 cup of all-purpose flour, add 1 1/2 tsp of baking power and 1 tsp of salt. Mix that together and you should have self-rising flour. It worked perfectly for me. Also I did not have Chinese five spice so I substituted it with cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg. I'm no longer intimidated to make peach cobbler!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2012
These were delicious! I was slightly nervous because I always fail at making pancakes (from the box!), but I decide to be brave and give this one a try. I was very pleased and will make this again. I took the others advice and used 1 1/2 cup of milk and also added a teaspoon of vanilla. I also added a pinch of nutmeg. Thanks for the recipe!

Easy Lemon Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
These are so simple and delicious! I was worried that they were too soft when I was rolling them into the powdered sugar. No worries, turn out great. I will definitely make these again.

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
I'm still shocked at how wonderful this tastes. I took another reviewers advice, I used 10 apples, doubled the recipe, and put them in the slow cooker for about 3 to 4 hours. I also used half brown sugar and half white.

Southern Candied Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
I thought this turned out great! It was my first time making candied sweet potatoes, so I was a little intimidated. I took another reviewers advice and did one cup brown sugar and one cup white. It gave it a great taste. Also, this did not take nearly as long to cook as I expected, after about 30 mins, they were ready to go! I guess my advice would be to keep checking to make sure that you don't overcook. Thanks so much! Will use this recipe again!
