Hot German Potato Salad III

Reviewed: May 28, 2011
Let me tell ya, I remember having to eat this stuff as a kid, and hating it....funny how your taste buds change as an adult. I had never made this before, but remember my Mother making it... I wasn't sure that I was on key until I made the sauce and it turned opaque..... then I knew, I had a winner. My Dad is coming for dinner tomorrow, and hasn't eaten this since my Mother passed away 11 years ago.... my eternal gratitude for a long lost recipe that Mom never wrote down!

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
STOP RIGHT THERE!!! I have been making my Easter Hams like this for years, when I first stumbled across the recipe, I thought, "no way, it can't be that easy"... it truly is. I will never make a ham another way, only change I sometimes make is to add some pure maple syrup... only a little though! This is truly an amazing way to cook a ham that will be moist and flavorful.

Creamy Garlic Mushroom Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
I made this last night and it was amazing. I had 3 pounds of boneless chicken breasts, and cubed them because I knew I was going to serve it over egg noodles and I would have to cut it for the kids anyway. Everyone loved this one. Thanks for submitting!

Slow Cooker Sausage with Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
After being a memeber of Allrecipes for the better part of 7 years and knowing how I cook, I NEVER follow a recipe to a "T" until this one. This can't be improved. Being a loyal at the local meat market, I always get my sausages there and have had them many ways. This is divine. Double up on the recipe, and you have hoagies one night, pasta the next. They get even better the next day. Thanks so much for such a tasty supper.

Buttermilk Pancakes II

This is a great big mouthful of YUM. I made these this morning, topping 'em off with some stawberries and whipped cream. By far, it kicked the pants clear off of IHOP.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
I've been meaning to rate this recipe for a while. I actually made this one night for company, doubling the recipe and was so glad that I did. It was amazing. I did add some fresh mushrooms to it as well. Last night, I had some left over marinated garlic and herb chicken breasts that had been done on the grill. I just shredded them up, threw everything in the crockpot on low until it heated thru and my goodness, it was yummy. Thanks for a winner!! UPDATE!! I have since made this recipe substituting boneless pork. Just as amazing if not better. I always use the cream cheese but also stir in some sour cream at the end because we like things a little on the saucier side. This is always at least a once a month recipe.

Baked Potato Casserole

Reviewed: May 14, 2007
This was absolutely fantastic.. I only had about 3.5 pounds of baby reds but went ahead with the recipe anyway. I used just under the amount called for for the sour cream and mayo, the same amount of bacon and about 6 cups of cheese. I threw everything into a 9 X 13 pan and away we went. Took it to My In~Laws for Mothers Day and couldn't keep my hubby and my Father~In~Law out of it before dinner. I think this would also be awesome with some pepper jack cheese in for some that like things a little on the spicy side... maybe even throw in some crumbled italian sausage as well to make it a one dish meal. I will be making this quite a bit. Thanks for a great recipe to add to my collection!

Meatloaf Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
Fantastic!!! I had a half a pack of Zesty Italian salad dressing mix to use up, and I threw that in along with a few dashes of Italian seasonings. I'm sure that I almost doubled the amout of cheese, but it was a good thing that I did, as a bunch leaked out. I had it covered for the first 45 minutes, uncovered for another 45. This was SOOO good!!! Thanks a heap for a fantastic recipe!!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2006
This was so good. I threw a whole chicken in the slow cooker the night before, saved the broth, skimmed the fat and used that in the soup. This has got to be one of the best chicken soups that I have ever tasted, and it really is better the next day, although it does need to be thinned out a bit. Very tasty!

Famous Butter Chicken

I've made this a few times now, once with chicken breasts and once with tenders. Both times it came out wonderful. Fantastic flavor. My husband, who normally dosen't care for any kind of chicken loves this recipe. The only changes I made was using Roasted Vegetable Ritz crackers. Thanks for the post!

Overnight Bubble Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2006
YUMMY!!! These are tasty. I doubled the brown sugar/butter part and divided it in between two 8 inch round cake pans. I also put the pudding directly on top of the brown sugar/butter mixture, then the rolls. Also tossed the bread dough into some cinnamon sugar as well. I will be making these for a long time to come. Thanks for such a fantastic recipe.

Gloria's Sausage Gravy with Biscuits

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2006
I love this recipe...actually, my mother used to make it all the time and has since passed away. I'm so grateful that I found it here. I realize that it does come out a bit thick, but I add milk as needed to make it come out just right. The "unusual" spices give it a nice twist on something that normally is a bit on the bland side. UPDATE....8/12/2011 although I have for the most part memorized this recipe(Thanks again for submitting Debbie!!) I just can't help but comment on some of the really nasty comments left here. There are plenty of pre-mixed packages of garbage that you simply add water to or if feeling a little daring substitute milk. This recipe can take many different directions that's the beauty of it, and for people who are not family with poultry seasoning, maybe they should become a little more educated in the kitchen before writing such a nasty review.

Fried Chicken with Creamy Gravy

Reviewed: May 10, 2006
HOLY SMOKES!!! This is some good stuff. You could put this gravy on almost anything and it would taste good. I didn't change much except to bump up the seasoning a bit. The chicken was excellent as well. Thanks for a great recipe.

Country Breakfast Casserole

I made this last night and didn't really change a thing. I think that it would of been good on it's own, but we made additional sausage gravy from scratch and poured over the top. YUMMY!

Cheese and Bacon Potato Rounds

Reviewed: May 1, 2006
YUMMY!! These were great. I'm not sure what is wrong with me, but I can never follow a recipe. I made just a few minor changes, I cut the potatoes, threw them into a bowl and tossed with just enough olive oil to coat. I also threw in the standard salt and pepper, but also added some dry ranch dressing mix for some added zip. I took the advice of other's by topping the spuds with sour cream before adding the cheese and bacon bits. They were so good, but what's not to love with ingredients like this? Thanks so much for a recipes that has already become a favorite in my house.

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

OH MY!! This was some good stuff. I took the advice of another reviewer and after shredding the meat, threw it into a skillet along with the juice and simmered until it evaporated. We ate it in burritos last night and going to make enchiladas tonight. This so good. Thanks for a great recipe.

Chili Dog Casserole I

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2006
My entire family loved this recipe. I did make just a few changes though. Instead of cutting up the buns, I just opened them flat and layed them crust side up. I put the hot dogs in and then a layer of cheese over those. Then the chili and some more cheese. My buns didn't get to soggy at all, as a matter of fact, the bottom was just a little crispy and it was fantastic. Maybe because the crust was facing up, or the layer of cheese between the hot dogs and the chili? I did use two cans of chili though. This tastes just like it should and I will be making this for a long time to come. Thanks for a great recipe!!
