Cheddar-Thyme Flaky Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
These were tasty and baked up great. I think the 3T of sugar was a little too sweet for me, as I was making the biscuits for sausage/gravy at breakfast. Next time I would use less sugar.

Deep Dark Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2005
This was exactly the chewy inside, crunchy outside chocolate cookie I have been looking for. I did not have any cocoa powder, so I used a 1/2c. Nestle Quik powder. It did not have a dark, rich chocolate taste, but still was super yummy. When there was about a minute left to bake, I put a Ghiradelli peppermint/chocolate limited edition square in them and put back in the oven to melt into the cookie a bit. Cool them well so the chocolate sets up again. A recipe that stays in my recipe box for good!

White Velvet Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2005
Folowed this recipe almost exact, subsituted cake flour for regular flour. Turned out very nice, baked about 4 minutes longer than recipe states. Made this as a layer cake with Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting in this site, instead of the frosting in recipe. Very moist, and nice texture, and rich flavor.

Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2005
This is excellent frosting. I am a frosting fanatic, & did not find this too sweet. I did 1/2 butter, 1/2 white crisco, blended it for about 10 minutes to get real fluffy. Did not have whipping cream, used whole milk. Still was very good. This was a test run for a birthday cake (white velvet II on this site, good together, tastes like right from the bakery!

Chocolate Cream Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2004
This pudding was Y-U-M-M-Y!! I did not think that the chocolate would be enough chocolate flavor, so I also added 1/2c. semi-sweet Ghiradelli chocolate chips when I melted the other chocolate. This pudding is very creamy, and very easy to make, it cooked up very quickly. I would definitely recommend this recipe to anyone!

Chocolate Cobbler

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2004
This had good flavor, I added about a half cup of chocolate chips to give it a richer taste. I felt that the water was way too much and left the "sauce" too runny, even runnier than pudding. I would cut back on the water to about 3/4 to 1c. Good taste though, would try with less water next time.

Vanilla Ice Cream IV

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2002
I cant stop making this ice cream! I tried this recipe not only with the cheesecake pudding, but the next time I made it I used the original recipe with vanilla pudding, but used brown sugar instead of white and instead of liquid vanilla, I used a real vanilla bean. Out of this world!!!
