Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2012
Easiest recipe there ever was. I, like other reviewers, chose to put some onion in the body cavity and some veggies like celery, carrot and onion, under the chicken. I added about a 1/2 cup of chicken broth, but I don't think it is absolutely necessary as the crock fills with yummy juices that, after draining, can be used for making a heavenly gravy. I've used this recipe a couple of times now and will continue to do so.

Pear and Gorgonzola Cheese Pizza

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2012
Very nice and simple to make. I added a drizzle of balsamic vinegar before cooking. Next time I think I'll add a balsamic reduction to give it a bit more punch.

Thai Spicy Basil Chicken Fried Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
I lament not being able to find Thai Basil in Iowa in the winter, but other than that I followed the directions implicitly. Awesome flavor and just the right amount of heat. I will definitely do this again (maybe with a wee hint of curry. Hmmmm).

Prego® Now and Later Baked Ziti

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
Great recipe. I used 1 lb ground sirloin and 1 lb spicy sausage. I also used a jar of "Vodka Sauce" for pasta instead of Prego, and it was awesome. It seems to me that this would probably do well with any jarred pasta sauce. Regardless, it's delicious.

Original Irish Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
An OMG IS THIS GOOD Recipe. I did cut the whiskey down to 1 cup and used coconut extract instead of almond as suggested by another reviewer. I made this for a bunch of people that are not whiskey drinkers and they went ga ga for it. For something less cloying, we also mixed it in a 1 to 1 ratio with strong hot coffee for something totally out of this world on a cold day.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
I have tried this recipe twice now and am totally in love with it. I like spices, so I added hints of cinnamon, ginger, and allspice to the batter, but otherwise, I left this gem unchanged.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2002
Great recipe! Like others, I also added some spice (vanilla, cinnimon, ginger, nutmeg and allspice). I wanted to make muffins, so I put the batter into a muffin tin sprayed lightly with Pam. At 325 degrees they were done in about 25 minutes! The batter yeilded 12 good sized muffins that were moist and delicious! Definitely a keeper.

Suki's Spinach and Feta Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2002
This recipe surprised me. I really liked it. I'm not a fan of tomatoes, so I wasn't sure. The feta mixed in so nicely with everything to create a light and creamy sauce with a great flavor. And despite the amount of tomatoes, they didn't overpower the flavor at all. I highly recommend this one.
