Lemon Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2011
I made this for a baby shower today using regular (not sugar free) pudding mix. It was great, everyone loved it and ate more of this than the traditional cream cheese/marshmallow dip!

PHILLY Creamy Basil and Red Pepper Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2011
This was a good base recipe but would have been bland without a bit of tweaking. I added garlic, thyme and oregano to the chicken and added some salt to the sauce. We really liked this but still thought it needed some acidity, like maye some wine. We will make it again with some more tweaking!

Grilled Chicken Thighs Tandoori

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2011
This was good, but I didn't love it. I followed the recipe exactly. My husband also liked it but suggested maybe decreasing the amount of cloves.

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2011
These were really good. I loved that they took only ninety minutes from start to finish. My husband said they were much better than canned but not quite as good as his moms traditional rise recipe.

Buttermilk Pound Cake II

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2011
My husband loves this recipe! He doesn't have the sweet tooth that I have, but if I make this, it is gone in a day. I bake in 2 loaf pans (I don't have a bundt pan) for 70 minutes and leave out the lemon extract (I don't have that around the house either!). It always turns out great!

Slow Cooker Green Beans, Ham and Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2011
This was really good. My husband hates all cooked veggies but after he ate this he told me it was a hit and then admitted he was only going to eat it (covered in hot sauce) to humor me. But he liked it so much he has requested it be made again! I did add bay leaves and rosemary and used a ham steak rather than ham hocks. Thanks for a great recipe!

Middle Eastern Rice with Black Beans and Chickpeas

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2011
We really liked this. I made it without meat and only used 1 can each of chickpeas and black beans. I also only used 2 cups of chicken stock (as indicated by the bag of rice). The flavor was fantastic, but next time I would cut back on the cayenne pepper (and we usually love spicy foods)! As suggested by one reviewer I served this with cilantro yogurt, which my husband loved. Next time I will add the meat and also make some naan to serve with it. Thanks for a great recipe!

We love this recipe! I usually use a can of rotel as the salsa. I think it is even better the next day!

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
It was amazing! My husband, who is usually not big on dessert kept walking by the pan and eating a little slice until the whole pan was gone! I did make this with less butter as suggested by previous reviewers. I also didn't put the honey on the whole pan, just left it on the side so people could put it on if they pleased. I thought the honey definitely made this better, but it was great without too. Thanks for a fantastic recipe!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: May 29, 2011
After trying many different oatmeal cookies looking for the perfect chewy cookie I finally found this one! Sometimes I make with chocolate chips, but mostly I make them without. I do add some cinnamon and nutmeg because I like some spice in my oatmeal cookies. Perfect!

Challah I

Fantastic! I have never made bread that required kneading, so I was a little worried, but it came out great!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
Fantastic recipe! I made this for my husband and inlaws and they all loved it. I did change a couple of things: I used hominy instead of corn, diced tomatoes instead of whole, and I used El Pato and tomato sauce in place of the enchilada sauce (to give a brighter, fresher tomato tast). I have only made this twice and I am already getting recipe requsts from people who have only heard how good it is from my mother in law! This soup also freezes very well. I just put it into individual serving sizes, froze, then microwaved for a few minutes when ready to eat.
